Situated right next to Chateau de Maintenon, it’s easy walking to great outdoor cafes, restaurants, and a pretty park. The hotel itself is lovely. “My fiancee and I only stayed one night at Chateau de La Riviere, and I wish we had stayed longer. Communications with Alice, one of our hosts, were clear and easy. Upon arrival, we were told that we were the only ones staying that night! This made it feel like a fairy tale - a chateau all to ourselves! “Great experience overall as the house and amenities are really made for a big gathering BUT probably for a short period (weekend only) and not for family with children. No washer /dryer on property, average cleaning and decent amount of already broken part of the house. I can see why this is great for a weekend with buddies and i would definitely rent it again but not for a long family gathering.”
