We were on our second day of driving back home from Florida and started looking for a place to get some sleep near Salem. We were exhausted and booked this place a few hours upon our arrival and shortly after the booking, we realized it was the wrong Salem. Which is obviously my mistake. We contacted Expedia who tried to see if the hotel would waive the fee, it was only 20 mins after the cut off time in that time zone and even though I was on the other side of the country, and only had booked it a few hours prior, they refused to waive the nightly cost. I understand they have policies and it was my mistake, but I’m shocked by the lack of compassion and reason they had. It’s not like I had this booked a month ago and tried to cancel last minute. I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but I feel this warranted an exception. Overall awful customer service.
