The renovation respects the farm’s original character with a modern twist. Candlesticks, furniture, pictures, and lamps have been passed down through generations in the family and create a special atmosphere that contrasts with the new interior details. In the old pigsty, you’ll find a cozy lounge with large folding doors opening onto the garden, creating a magical connection between indoors and outdoors. Outside, a shelter, outdoor sauna, wilderness bath, and fire pit with accompanying equipment await—perfect for year-round experiences.



Ballen is 1.5 km away, featuring a marina and excellent restaurants. Try Restaurant Skipperly or Røgeriet by the water’s edge. Samsø’s best swimming beach is also in Ballen, complete with a winter swimming club. Nordby is worth visiting for its idyllic atmosphere and unique natural surroundings. The island is ideal for cycling and hiking.
