We selected The Riverwalk Plaza due to its proximity to the sites.
The hotel is within walking distance of the Alamo and all of the Riverwalk restaurants.
The amenities were okay. The bed was comfortable. The cleaning staff always left the room clean and completed their tasks promptly. The Smart TV did not work and we asked the front desk to have it fixed. By the time we returned, the TV was fixed. A mini fridge was used for drinks only. The bathroom was cramped with the door blocking the toilet/shower. The faucet in the shower was on a constant trickle. The water softener did provide quality water. The desk was excellent for all of our daily items. The paint on the walls was peeling, the windows lacked noise reduction and the vents were dusty.
Hospitality needs improvement. We were not acknowledged again until checkout. We did visit the on-site restaurant. We arrived, the hostess saw us, grabbed her bag, and left us unattended. The cook apologized and helped us. The hostess returned and took our order. We decided to spend our money elsewhere.
I did not appreciate how the staff drove my vehicle. Many times, squealing the tires due to the high speeds.
Other guests staying at the hotel were extremely loud. Even though the hotel has a policy about loud noise.
3 days later and I am still waiting on the receipt. Even after calling the Plaza twice. If asked to spend my money there again, I would respectfully decline and explore other options.
