North Mission Bayside Upper Unit -Newly Remodeled

My home is a modern 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom upper unit that sleeps 8 comfortably, with a maximum of 6 adults. This spacious condo recently underwent a full remodel that was completed in April, 2021.

Your family will love the location of this home, just a few blocks north of Belmont Park and nestled between serene Mission Bay and the bustle of Mission Beach’s famous shops, restaurants and strand. It is located on the "sunny side" of the court, offering abundant natural light throughout the day.

This unit was fully remodeled and professionally decorated in 2021 to offer a modern, coastal, and comfortable space that is ideal for a family vacation. The open concept kitchen and living room areas flow out to a bright and airy private balcony that is perfect for morning coffee or evening cooking on the BBQ grill. You'll be able to prepare meals here to enjoy with the whole family, and you can clear the dining table afterwards to play board games and add a little bit of friendly competition to your vacation. This home is the perfect choice for families looking for a casual and relaxing coastal vacation!

Mission Beach is San Diego's lively take on the classic boardwalk beach town with over five miles of waterfront boardwalk, trendy shops, restaurants and Belmont Park, a beachfront amusement park featuring the historic Giant Dipper Roller Coaster. Mission Beach is just 15 minutes from San Diego International Airport and 15-20 minutes to SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, and downtown San Diego.

This rental is located on a quiet court in a high-density neighborhood with strict house rules and is only suitable for quieter groups. Out of respect for our neighbors, we have a no tolerance policy for excessive noise, occupancy, parties, smoking, or pets. Failure to abide by these policies may lead to immediate eviction without refund. Please make sure you are comfortable with these rules before renting.

This rental is in a great location and is very spacious. We loved being able to walk to the beach. The host is very, very responsive and worked hard to make our stay comfortable after the HVAC system broke "right before" we arrive. Even having a couple of air purifiers dropped off when there was an air pollution spike, as one of our tribe is sensitive to that. There were also portable AC units by each bed, not sure if those are there permanently or part of the temp fix. Luckily we didn't need to use them as I think they would be pretty noisy during the night. The kitchen is well appointed and the lounge area big enough for four adults to relax in comfort. Dining area great for four adults as well. The bathrooms don't work as well for a large group. The master shower/sink area has no door and the second hall bath is small and the only ventilation was a small window - think shower-sauna. Beds (comfortable), linens, pillows nice quality and towels too. Added bonus was the wide range of beach add ons in the laundry room. My oldest had a blast with a boogie board even though the water was pretty chilly. There were also beach chairs, kites, and toys. Not a fan of having to take out the trash at the end as the trash cans are dirty and the cleaning fee is steep.

Had a really great stay, kitchen the best stocked one we have had with even storage containers and spices and condiments. The beach gear was also wonderful to have, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, a wagon and sand toys. Loved the suggestions for food, tried breakfast republic was so good, square pizza also. Trader Joe’s close by too.

Perfect location for a large group!

This was an amazing property. Very clean and well maintained. We had my family of four stay the whole time. Then we had four friends over for a day. The living room, dinning area and kitchen were large enough to accommodate the whole group. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking appliances, pans, silverware, plates, etc. The air-conditioning worked well. We were surprised how big the parking spot was. In the past we've had to bring a smaller vehicle to fit in other rentals we stayed at, but here we could have brought our mini van. It would have been a tight fit, but we still would have been able to get in and out had we brought our van. The king size bed is not in the master bedroom with the attached bathroom. Some people may have an issue with that, but my husband and I were fine with the queen bed that was in the master. The location was perfect. It's located right by a cross light so it's safer to cross the main street to get to the beach. It's also a very short walk to Belmont Park and all the dinning options around. The only bummer is we did not see an outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand when we came back from the beach. So we just wiped off as much as possible before we went back up to the rental. They had a small vacuum at the property so I was able to get any excess sand we brought in.Overall this place was perfect! I would highly recommend it and we plan on booking here again in the future.

Beautiful apartment, perfect location

We stayed at this home over Labor Day weekend with 4 adults and 4 kids (age 2-4). It was very clean, had all the supplies we needed, and the location was perfect to be able to easily walk to Mission Beach or Mission Bay. Lots of restaurants and entertainment within walking distance as well! Host was great with communication and we really appreciated all of the thought that was put in to make sure it was a nice weekend getaway for us!

Great find

We tried out Mission Beach for the first time, and got lucky finding this place with little knowledge of the area. The layout was great for two families with four teenagers. Lacy was very responsive and welcoming. The kitchen and beach supplies were well stocked and we found space for four bikes and two surfboards. The walk to the beach and bay was quick. And we were situated close to rides and food but far enough away to not be caught in chaos on those beach blocks. It was also quiet in the unit. Although there was only one parking space, finding a street parking for the second car went smoothly. And, we asked and were able to use the lower unit’s parking spot a couple of nights when it was available. We enjoyed biking/walking to Pacific Beach, Paddleboarding in the bay, and also liked that we were close enough to San Diego to go to see a comedy show and baseball game. We’ll be back!

Great place close to the beach and the bay. Comfortable furnishings and well-stocked kitchen. Plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas. Also provided beach towels.

Perfect place and location!

This property is a definite 5 stars! The updates are great and the unit was super clean. Great location with easy access to beach and bay, etc- just as described. Our group of 3 adults, 3 teens, and one toddler had plenty of space. We loved all the beach equipment that was available as well. One note is that we could have used more washcloths for our group. At least one for everyone. They also have a rule about using black makeup towels for makeup removal versus the white towels, but only provided two for our large group. Would have loved to have access to more. Overall, highly recommend and would stay again!

It was really the best of times

From our nieces to the rest of the family, everyone enjoyed their stay. The location is ideal with the bay on one side and the ocean on the other side. There is bike infrastructure on both sides. There was an enticing market on Tuesday north of us. The bike rental place was right there. And we found croissants and pains au chocolat! Plenty of space in the unit with all the necessary amenities.

The perfect stay

The unit is in the ideal location, situated far enough from the street to avoid noise but also steps away from the bay, beach, and Belmont. It felt brand new and was exceptionally clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with all the necessities. We would definitely stay again.

Great home away from home!

Location was so great! So close to the beach, and fun little beach shops and restaurants! Directions were great, parking was a little tight, but everywhere there is, really no way to get around that. Very clean and comfortable. Thank you for having us!

Wonderful stay

My family of 7 had a wonderful stay. The condo is extremely clean and was comfortable for all. Beautifully remodeled. Mission Bay is a very congested area, but it was surprisingly extremely quiet at night. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate during our stay (cold and rainy) but the location is perfect for the beach and bay!

Birthday trip for my older son

Our stay at the condo was great, except for a couple of odd things happening it was a nice condo and perfect location to the beach. We literally could walk to the beach in less than 5 mins- it was awesome! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to San Diego!

Beautiful and spacious

The location was great! We had a ton of space for our family. Quiet neighborhood and close to the beaches. The parking spot was tight, but accurately described in the listing. Quick drive into the city and to the Zoo. Would definitely stay here again.
