Nice, newer hotel. Very clean. Rooms were on the small side and our biggest complaint would be the bathroom situation. There is no privacy, no lock, see through doors and the bathroom fan didn’t work. Parking is also a problem. No onsite parking except for valet, which is pricey and its just luck if you can find parking on the street close enough to the hotel.

Nice hotel just by the harbor. Walking distance to nearby restaurants and stores. Clean and friendly staff. No self parking and valet parking with cost before a downside. Can get noisy being on a main road.

Decided to stay in SD for the weekend with my best friend and I was very happy we chose to stay here. Parking rates are only valet. $37 a day with in and out privileges; process of calling the car through text was super convenient and easy. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room had great views of the harbor and lots of space. The hotel has very nice designs and the theme carried through from the lobby to rooms. I definitely recommend staying here.

The Monsaraz was overall great. Front desk staff Jose was very helpful and pleasant as well as the valet. The room was cozy, clean, definitely what the photos show. Restroom door doesn’t seal shut, they’re a sliding door shutter type, so be ready for that. Still a beautiful modern restroom though. Parking was my only real complaint, $37 for overnight is kind of a lot. Street parking is available for free to self park, but it’s a first come first serve type. Amazing coffee shop across the street. Marina is walking distance. Definitely would stay here again, highly recommend for couples.

A good place for stay
We stay there as a family for just one night. Generally, it was good for a stay. It was close to San Diego's different areas and 20 min. drive to la Jolla.

-Clean -food in the restaurant is good -staff is kind and welcoming -$37 for valet parking -45 mins wait for staff to come in and cook breakfast -buffet breakfast is not available.(Please take off your ad, there is no breakfast buffet)

The employees were very friendly and helpful. There’s a good bar off of the lobby. The hotel was located within walking distance to various restaurants and coffee shops. The valet parking was nice but expensive

Rooms and public spaces are very nice. Fitness Center not up to standard ( water dispenser with no cups, elliptical ( Precor ) listed tv stations but would only connect to an infomercial channel.

Very clean and modern feel. Only thing it was missing is a hot tub to chill out in at night. It was close to food places and to my concert. Felt very safe and was very quiet.

Check in was a little frustrating. I reserved a 2 queen room with a balcony which costs a little more. When checking in they said they only showed us reserving a reg 2 queen room. However the price they we’re charging us was for a room with the balcony and my itinerary showed with a balcony. My husband had to talk to management twice and they tried to say the price of the rooms was the same, however I knew that was not true. I had to go back down and show them the prices on their own website (the difference between the types of rooms) and show them my email confirmation which stated “with balcony”. Eventually we got things corrected, but it was frustrating to have to deal with that and feel like I had to debate about the room we reserved. It was a very nice hotel though. The cleanest I’ve experienced in awhile. I feel like a lot of hotels cut corners these days even though you’re paying too dollar. The balcony and view were awesome. Parking wasn’t too bad on the street. Very walkable and right across the marina. Lots of convenient places to get a quick bite to eat. Overall really nice hotel and would visit again.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful stay
Booked this hotel for a girls trip and it was perfect. Trendy decor, great cocktails and easy to get around any where. Beds were comfortable and the room space was used well. Staff were very friendly. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

It’s beautiful. The parking was one of the reasons we didn’t enjoy it as much. We had a car through our trip and we had to pay for valet parking each time since it was so hard to find parking around the hotel and there was no self parking. We absolutely loved the hotel. Staff was very polite and the rooms were clean and beautiful. Recommend just Ubering everything is close.

Pleasantly surprised. For the area this was a treat. Staff including valet was awesome. Food delicious. Upscale in the fishing boat areas(wharf). Who would have thought. Going to book repeat visit the moment I get home. And there affiliated with Hilton honors!!

Restaurant sucks but stay was nice
The hotel it’s self is really cute and very modern. However they only over valet parking at almost $40 a night or give you the option of finding parking on the street, which was none :-/. Only complaint is the terrible restaurant they have in the hotel. Over priced and very limited and alot of the items they didn’t have and still trying to charge full price. Don’t eat there!
