Garden View Room 3 Blocks from the Beach

Welcome to the Garden View Room! Here you will be staying in our green garden inspired room with a cozy queen sized bed. Here you can enjoy a good night's rest or get some work done on your trip to SF.

This location is the best to stay in because it is the safest area in SF, transportation to the rest of the city is just a walk away, a couple blocks from restaurants and only 3 SHORT BLOCKS FROM THE BEACH. Here you are also a short train ride or a short drive to Golden Gate Park.

Great Location

We had great walks by the beach and in the park. The hot water was consistent and made showing a pleasure. You are sharing a bathroom and kitchen which is not as clear as it could be from the advertisement but it worked out fine.

It’s 3 male roommate housing situation and one other Vrbo room- would be better as a long term stay, but very enjoyable experience overall.

If the fire department knew about this rabbit warren of rooms crammedinto a garage, with horrible access and egress they would close it down.

It’s a shared space

The bathroom is a shared space with other renters which was not listed anywhere while booking. Lots of cobwebs throughout my room. The neighborhood itself is great, plenty of places within walking distance to eat/drink.

Just what I needed

I never write reviews, but the Karen who left the 2/10 was so wrong it made me want to correct the record. This isn't the Ritz downtown for $750/night, but it seems as if she was looking for that. This place has basic bedrooms, a nice shared kitchen, fridge and bathroom. It's 2 blocks from the Judah Muni and 2 blocks from the beach in a nice neighborhood with a lot of character and Thai restaurants. I want to bring my 2 kids here next year and rent all 3 rooms for a san fran vacation

3-room communal apartment

The stay was short and for the most part it was fine. I was in a room by myself, and there were 2 other rooms in the Vrbo that were also being rented out to other people. There is one bathroom - it is nice, but worth noting that it is a communal bathroom. It didn’t came up for me, but the kitchen and refrigerator were small and I wasn’t sure if it was communal, or more for the owner of the property. My room was mostly comfortable, though a fan would help go a long way. The owner of the property was very friendly.

Misleading

The listing is not accurate and deceiving. In fine print it indicates it is the entire home. It doesn’t state that the bathroom is being shared with at least 4 other people. It also doesn’t state that there is no air conditioning or ceiling fans. The room had a view to a garden, true. The room also had gnats and the sheets I don’t believe were changed. They didn’t smell fresh. It was extremely difficult for us to sleep but we had no choice at that point. The bathroom had ants and spiders. The floor had not been swept. There were hairs and the mats were dirty. We had to walk through a tiny space thru the kitchen. Kitchen spelled and was unkept. The pot and plate someone used the day we checked in was still there, dirty, when we left. If VRBO is going to run their add on tv about no surprises, they need to ensure that is true. This place was completely unacceptable.
