Comfortable 2 Bedroom 1 Bath House in San Jose - Close to Rose Garden

Beautiful and spacious 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house in the heart of San Jose/Silicon Valley. With a wonderful private backyard. This house puts you right in the middle of everything. Less then 10 minutes away from Santana Row (the Rodeo Drive of the Bay Area), 8 minutes away from San Jose International Airport, tons of shopping just minutes away (Safeway, Whole Foods, Trader Joes) a great selection of restaurants and best of all easy access to all the major freeways.


A clean home is extremely important to my family and I. We make sure the home is always in great clean condition once guests check in and out no matter the length of each guests stay. The home was completely remodeled in 2019. The home has a nice sized living room, updated large open stye kitchen and two bedrooms with queen sized beds for a great nights rest. The backyard is a wonderful area to enjoy and intake the beautiful Bay Area weather. Washer and dryer included for easy cleaning in the basement.

You will have two car private parking spots in the driveway right in front of the house.

Guest/Business travelers coming to Silicon Valley

Relocating employees/Traveling Nurses (close to Good Sam Hospital, O'Connor Hospital, Valley Medical and 20 minutes to Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto)

Simple

It's a simple property, as advertised. Items such as paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, sponges, bar soap, shampoo, and conditioner are well-stocked. Besides some grapeseed oil, you will *not* find condiments for cooking at home (salt, pepper, sugar, sauces, etc). The central HVAC does not work, but the property does have three well-functioning portable AC units -- one in the kitchen, one in the living room, and one in the main bedroom. They are a bit loud. There is a 99cents store a 5min walk away (we went there to get bottled water) and several restaurants nearby within walking distance (Ethiopian, Chinese, Mexican, Vietnamese).

Lovely little place

Clean and cute, this was a great central base for us to explore the Winchester Mystery House, Computer Museum, Municipal Rose Garden, Henry Cowell and Roaring Camp Railroad, all in a 3 night trip. Parking is a wee bit tricky, it is right in front of the house, but a bit of a squeeze if you have a larger SUV or truck. (Our rental Kia Sorento was fine most of the time, but we were grateful to not be driving our normal truck). Neighborhood is adorable, mixed houses, apartments and great ethnic restaurants and felt very homey. Plenty of close groceries (check out Zanotto's Market! So awesome!) It could use a bit more stocking of items (no washclothes anywhere, bathroom or kitchen and some extra blankets for the futon would be a nice addition for chillier TV watching nights). Check in was easy-peasy, we loved the way the fence wraps around the tree out back and all in all we enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful newly renovated house in San José

Our first impression on the house was great. It’s small, but with nice interior. We enjoyed the outside patio in the evenings even though the chairs were missing a cushion. To get to the washer/dryer you have to go outside - no problem when it’s summer but I wouldn’t wanna go out in the winter. The air condition unit is in the kitchen, therefore it was really warm in the bedrooms in the evening. The bathroom is really, really small but ok for a few nights. It is a newer listing and I feel like the kitchen was missing a few things (glasses, bowls, toaster, …) and usually the host provides a few dish washer tabs, laundry detergent, coffee filters, … it was no big deal for us because we had everything with us but it is always more welcoming if a few little things are already in the house. Aryan was responsive and brought some plates, glasses and bowls when I asked for it. I hope he will stack up the kitchen in the future. The biggest problem we had was the (dirty) floor: It’s a nice grey and looked clean but after walking barefoot for an hour all of us had pitch black feet! I communicated the issue but unfortunately Aryan didn’t offer a cleaning service. So I scrubbed down the floors for 2 hours. I really think it’s a five star house but with all the little things and then the dirty floor I - unfortunately - have to give a four star rating. I hope Aryan changes a few minor things and it will be a great house!
