Casa Zarzal is ideally located for exploring some of Puerto Rico’s most beautiful natural attractions. El Yunque National Forest is just 5–6 minutes away, while the beaches of Luquillo are approximately 10 minutes by car.

Spend the day hiking through the rainforest, swimming beneath waterfalls, relaxing on the golden sands of Luquillo Beach, exploring the famous Luquillo Kiosks, or heading to Fajardo for boating, snorkeling, and island excursions.



When you're ready to explore beyond the east coast, Old San Juan is approximately 45 minutes away by car, making Casa Zarzal an ideal home base for experiencing both the tranquility of the mountains and the culture and attractions of Puerto Rico.



A Few Things to Know:



Casa Zarzal is surrounded by tropical nature, so you may occasionally encounter insects or hear the sounds of local wildlife. The property receives regular pest-control service, but insects cannot be completely eliminated in a natural environment. We recommend keeping doors and windows closed when not in use.



The mountain setting also means that brief rain showers are common, particularly around El Yunque. These passing showers are part of what makes the rainforest so lush and beautiful.
