I was left (unpleasantly) shocked at the seeming disconnect between the Expedia ratings and what we found from our room and the hotel. We stayed in the San Sebastian suite and found the room to be in very poor and even unsafe condition. There were exposed electrical outlets near running water and at the height of our 3yr old. The kitchen cabinet front fell off, almost onto toes, with barely a touch, revealing a previous 'Command Strip' fix. The decorative topper on the stairs was stripped and only loosely placed in position. There were many areas throughout the room that demonstrated poor condition, care or attention to detail. The lighting was poor, with bulbs of various color and limited brightness, including fixtures without bulbs. There were numerous areas of exposed plumbing attachments that had been plugged, with little care to repair tile. Our communications to the staff, while received positively, resulted in only a fix to the outlet over the bathroom sink. Other 'amenities' were lacking and showed little active engagement by staff..... for example, the fresh/ice water container in the common area was shown to us on check in and the majority of the time was just empty, having received no attention from staff to fill. Overall, the property is in a great location but is plagued with poor condition and seeming apathy from staff to improve or actively provide for a good experience.
