Great Isla Verde stay – wonderful locationWe spent the month of February here and had a terrific stay. As first-time snowbirds, we felt we really lucked out and would happily return.The location is fantastic—right on Isla Verde Beach and within walking distance of major hotels like Fairmont El San Juan Hotel and Royal Sonesta San Juan, plus grocery and pharmacy options including Pueblo Supermarket and Farmacia Caridad. The neighborhood is lively but still feels residential because of all the nearby condos, and it’s a great base for exploring. We loved walking toward the trails at Balneario de Carolina and the kiosks in Piñones, or heading the other direction toward Ocean Park Beach. Old San Juan is an easy Uber ride.The condo itself is bright, renovated, and very comfortable with strong AC, blackout curtains, and thoughtful beach gear (chairs, towels, games). The property manager was friendly and responsive—we had a minor issue with dead batteries in the Wi-Fi lock and it was handled immediately.A couple things to note: the building is older and the common areas show their age, and there’s only one working elevator. The pool is small and tucked behind the building. Also, like many buildings in the area, security bars and older tile floors may look a bit worn at first if you’re not used to them.Once we settled in, none of that mattered—the apartment, beach access, and location made this a great home base for a long stay in San Juan, and we’d gladly come back.
