What a great place to stay! Quiet and serene. Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the hills and vineyards was so relaxing. Mike is a great host and gave us some great recs for wineries. We will be back!

Beautiful location in the hills but an easy 10 minutes to downtown Paso for restaurants and shops. Wineries all around. The hot tub was great! The owner was friendly, helpful and came to the rescue a couple times when we lost things or left them behind. Definitely a top host!

We came to Paso Robles for a quick weekend stay to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Before our arrival I received a friendly text from Mike stating the place was ready and we could arrive at any time. Mike greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the property, his home a located on property as well. The cottage is so cozy and perfect for what we needed. The bed was so comfy, the water pressure in the shower was good, he even had a boombox (I wish I had dusted off my cassettes and brought those with me hahaha) My ONLY complaint is I wish the pillows were a little better but that’s probably just a personal preference as I am never really happy with the pillows. I really should just start bringing my own. This place was perfectly situated and not a far drive from anywhere we were going. Mike had laid out some vouchers for us to use as some of the wineries, and he did have some great recommendations. He checked in on us once to let us know he had placed some extra weights on the spa because it was a bit windy. Unfortunately, the weather was gloomy and rainy so we didn’t get to enjoy the spa but I am sure that would have been wonderful. Overall we had a great stay and if we are ever back in Paso Robles I hope Mike will have is back at his place.

This was perfect- laid back, exactly as pictured and a gracious and welcoming host. I say this with love- it’s cozy, cute and funky. If you are drawn to opulence, it likely won’t meet your Paso needs. But, if you are like me, and prefer to spend your Benjamin’s on wine rather than lodging- you’ve found your place! If you are really lucky, Mike will share his wine and life experience with you!

Comfortable studio near downtown Paso with a beautiful view from a hilltop. Congenial host is very welcoming and helpful and made good recommendations for wine tasting. The lack of WiFi didn’t turn out to be a problem for us.

This property is a true gem! The views were amazing and it was so peaceful sitting on top of the mountain reading and relaxing in the hot tub. The host was so nice and informative about the area. The furniture is a little dated, but the bed was comfy, it was very spacious with a great layout and there was great water pressure in the shower. We would definitely stay here again if back in the area!

We had such a wonderful stay at this property over the weekend! From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up. The unit was well-stocked with everything we needed, including kitchen essentials, fresh linens, and even a few unexpected extras that made our stay even more enjoyable.The location was perfect—peaceful and relaxing, yet still close to local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We especially loved the hot tub and the amazing view from it! Our host was fantastic—quick to respond, incredibly friendly, and made sure we had all the information we needed for a smooth experience.We’re already looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay. Truly quiet and cozy place with beautiful views

We loved staying at Mike’s cottage. It is far away from all the crowds and noise, but only 10-12 mins from downtown Paso. Mike is a wine maker himself and had lots of recommendations and free tastings coupons for us.

Dirty, lack of privacy

Dirty- previously someone wiped the dust off the cable box with finger and more dust collected on that spot. Sink backed up gunk when just using the water in sink. Spatters all over walls etc. owner was very nice, but description lead us to believe we would have property to ourselves and owner was in main house 50 ft away. View was beautiful.

Stayed up here with my partner for our anniversary. The property was off the beaten path a bit, but easy to get up to. Michael was a great host and communicated very easily with us. Good guy and even got to chat with him a bit, was good conversation. Would come back!

Christmas Lights Festivals

Looked for a cozy private ranch type retreat with the amenities for cuddling up after long days of walking around and enjoying the Christmas festivals and wine. Found this place and it was perfect! The views were incredible to wake up to and kiss the day to the sunsets and lets just say that you have to see it to believe it. Let me include the HOT TUB with the sunsets was a most added bonus to my surprise getaway for my wife. It was most enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your home with us Michael! We will back!

Expansive Views!

The location of the property is amazing. Hot tub and sunsets are phenomenal. Although the unit is next to the main house, it is still very private. BBQ is shared with the main house, so not private. The unit is a little outdated and has no wifi, but cell service is good and it is nice to unplug. The fridge, Microwave, coffee maker, and toaster are the only appliances, no stovetop cooking. Mike is a great host. He has many 2 for one tasting at local wineries available. He shared his own amazing Cabernet Sauvignon and good conversation.

First time in Central Coast, horrible reason

Came to the area to attend friend’s husband’s funeral. First time to Central California Coast. Property among vineyards overlooking Paso Robles, beautiful property amidst other beautiful properties. Private and quaint, great place for wine tasting and visiting the myriad of wineries.
