Welcome to Rio Tarcoles, where tourists stop to view these ancient dinosaurs. I've heard a few stories about this place, one being that locals sometimes toss live chickens off the bridge to put on a "show". I also read somewhere that a drunk man was bet $20 to swim across the river...and he did, but didn't quite make it. If you are at all amazed by crocodiles, this place is crazy cool. I've been here a couple of times and still get excited by the number of crocs there are. Once in awhile you'll see a stork slowly walk up to a croc, almost as if he's doing a dare, and the croc will slowly swim towards him. You get your camera ready waiting for something to go down. Not enough staff were English speaking. Always told us, "no speak English". Couldn't get reservations on your app, always said rejected, unless we went and seen a guy. Great stay! Staff was courteous, rooms were clean and loved happy hour and the casino. We were especially pleased with how close we were to El Manglar Seafood and Grill. We had dinner there both nights we stayed at Crocs.
