“The breakfasts were a highlight. We were always asked what time we wanted breakfast and each day we were greeted with a healthy, tasty and Ecuadorian breakfast and fresh juice. The hotel is conveniently located in the historic Old Town but on the outskirts so there is little noise. For us a highlight was being able to watch the New Year's Eve tradition of burning effigies right outside of our window because it is in a residential neighbourhood. “Great location-just 1 block north of Plaza Grande (as hotels.com says but contrary to what Google maps say as of today: and you'll need to tell cabs/ubers/...). My room was quite quiet despite of being right downtown. The people running the hotel are very friendly and helpful. I'd certainly stay at Casa Colonial again.”
