My family has gone to Sanibel for over 40 years. After Ian, we've had to try different condos to stay at. This is just about the nicest one I've rented at the price point.Ed is very communicative and clearly has a lot of love and pride for his place. The beach view/access is immaculate, and the central location is ideal for reaching the various places on the island you'd want to visit (you can bike to Jerry's supermarket in about 10 minutes).The layout is great with the bedrooms on the main floor. The second floor loft with the twin bed is really unique and special, if you have an older kid they'll love making it their space. (Kids closer in age might fight over it.) The loft also has an office space with a spectacular view.Some minor things to be aware of:* The bathrooms are lovely but only have showers, no tubs.* The dishwasher is finicky to close. Ed explains it in his message, but it's tricky the first time. You really need to slam it shut. If you start it and see a "3, 2, 1" countdown then it's not closed properly.* The pool is very nice while a bit small; no hot tub/spa.* The internet is kind of spotty, which is typical for the island; good enough for streaming apps though. The TVs are nice and modern with all the apps.* There's no dresser/closet in the loft, just a small end table drawer.* Parking is a bit tight, and there aren't many guest spots (Ed will horsetrade with other owners if he can).Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay!
