  • Cozy house with 5 double beds and 1 queen size sofa bed. Neighborhood is mostly hispanic, very nice and kind people. Fruit trees in back yard. There is also an ADU in a shared backyard. House is close to Edison Park with lots of free amusements.

Peaceful neighborhood

The host is probably one of the kindest people I’ve met. His response time is quite fast, and the instructions are crystal clear. Great value considering the overall house, location, and 2 free parking spaces! Would definitely visit again.

Lack of Transparency from Host

Host tried to switch us to a different property at the absolute last minute claiming the property had a plumbing problem. I canceled my stay and had to find something else at the last minute. Beware of renting from him.

Nice neighborhood

The house itself is in a nice neighborhood. Very quiet. The parking space is a bit hard to get into so if you have anything bigger than a sedan or a small SUV keep that in mind. (we had a truck) The house is an older home but both bathrooms and the kitchen were remodeled. FYI The two first pictures on the listing are not current. Two of the rooms had 2 full size beds each and one room had 1 full bed. The bed sheets were clean, and they have extra pillows and blankets available. They do provide towels. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, etc. There is a smaller house in the back but the neighbors were very quiet and didn’t seem like they were there at all. The house itself can be a little cleaner inside and out. The hall bathroom had the toilet paper holder ripped off the wall and it was sitting in the shelf in the bathroom. They do have big writing on the walls in both bathrooms saying “no flushing wipes or diapers in toilet.” Which is fine but a sign would look nicer rather than writing on the wall. All of furniture is older but I’m sure they will update it as they go. Overall the stay wasn’t too bad just a few issues with the home but since we were there 2 nights it didn’t bother us too too much.

Couldn't be worse...or could it?

I was shocked when we arrived. The place is in a very bad neighborhood and is nothing like the pictures. There are cars on the front yards and very narrow crowded streets (not in a cute way). The house is a disaster from the minute you step on the broken porch. There is actually a hole in the door. When you walk inside there is spray-paint on one of the doors. They tried to cover it up with a thin layer of paint but it shows through. They write messages on the wall in marker. They don't even bother with an actual sign. The toilet paper holder was ripped off the wall. It was unclean behind the beds (food wrappers and stuff) and the bathroom had soap scum on the fixtures. The furniture in the kitchen was pool-side furniture not the nice chairs you see in the pictures. The back-yard was littered with cigarette butts. Everything about this place is old, dilapidated or dirty. The kitchen hood was filthy. The floors are old and the finish is wearing through. I could go on and on. Just don't stay here!
