Sleek and Modern Bunk Room on Santa Barbara's State Street!

Whether you’re traveling with kids, friends, or siblings, the best road trip stories often involve a bunk bed. The Bunk features full-sized mattresses, streaming TV and free WiFi, a coffee maker and mini fridge, handmade millwork and decor, and curated bath amenities.

The space
Drift Santa Barabara is located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara on State Street, an expansive car-free promenade filled with restaurants, entertainment, and shops. It’s also a breezy, 10-minute stroll from the Santa Barbara pier and beautiful California beaches.

Guest access
Parking is located at 18 E Haley St, right around the corner from the hotel (directly behind the beer garden). Guest will have to download the PayByPhone app on their cellphones prior to parking. Follow the instructions on the app.

Guests should enter 24 hours for one night, 48 hours for two nights, 72 hours for three nights, etc. Guests will have in and out privileges.

EV charging is available but guests need to bring their own plug to connect to the charger.

Make sure to remember your lot code number as this is the code that will grant the $20 overnight rate.
Other things to note
We require a credit card on file for incidentals and will request this from you before giving check-in details. A $100 authorization will be held until after checkout.

It is our policy to get a card on file to protect our property in the event of damages. The card cannot be viewed or charged by anyone unless an incidental claim needs processing. In the case of incidentals/damages, our reservations manager is the only one with access to charge your card. That individual can only see the last 4 digits of your card information.

Must be 21 or older to book. By booking this reservation you agree that you are at least 21 years of age. After booking, you will be asked to submit a photograph of your government-issued ID as proof of age and identity.

Superb location to enjoy shopping, dining, biking

On previous trips to Santa Barbara we’ve stayed closer to the beach, but for this mother/daughter trip with an independent teen I wanted to be close enough to Street street for my daughter to browse shops while I worked. Best. Location. Ever. Drift opens directly onto the first few blocks of State street which are closed to through traffic. It’s vibrant, lively and safe. I had cocktails at the Dusk lobby bar, we borrowed bikes to explore the beach trail, parked our car in the lot behind the hotel (no cost if you leave before 11am attendant arrives), and had a lovely holiday together and independently. The room was very new & modern, could have used more storage space. Will definitely be back!!
