The Zen Retreat is a lovely, spacious casita nestled in a lovely,quiet, wooded area. It’s near fabulous hiking trails up the mountains and still able to be at the Plaza within about 10 minutes. Fully equipped kitchen, nice patio for warmer months, very clean. We spent 6 nights here and will definitely recommend to friends traveling to Santa Fe.

Wonderful

The property was lovely and exactly as shown in the pictures. It felt private in its location and the interior spaces light and bright. The kitchen contained everything possible. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Slice of heaven in the hill above Santa Fe

Our second stay at this beautiful modern Santa Fe guest home, and it won't be our last. We love the peaceful private setting on the hill above Santa Fe. The guest house is lovely and comfortable, filled with light and containing everything we need for a perfect getaway. We love the neighborhood and proximity to some of our favorite hiking trails. Close enough to town to have access to all Santa Fe has to offer in under 5 minutes, and yet the setting feels so peaceful and remote. The guest house is set perfectly next to the owner's home in such a way to provide privacy and take advantage of the forest views. The owners are lovely and thoughtful to guests needs. Highly recommend.

Loved the location which is secluded and quiet but close to town and hiking trails.The casita which is well stocked with upscale kitchen appliances and bathroom essentials is very private. We never saw or heard the property owners other than at check in.Will definitely return.

Great location for hiking and biking

Beautiful secluded setting among the Pinon and Juniper along arroyo piedra, trail access across street to the Dale Ball trail system. Coyote music in the evenings. Great location, short drive to town or Ten Thousand Waves spa and road to Ski Santa Fe. Every cooking utensil available, great appliance, comfortable furniture and bed.

Our first, but truly not our last trip to Santa Fe! So much to see and do not just in town but surrounding towns and national parks. A stylish and comfortable stay

This Casita is probably the most stylish and well-thought-out home rental I've ever had. The property had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen. Michelle was the consummate host and made everything welcoming and relaxing for us. We would happily stay there again!

Zen Retreat

This property is an excellent choice when visiting Santa Fe. The pictures tell the story. Large one bedroom casita - about 1000 feet. High end furnishings throughout. Fully stocked kitchen with induction stove, oven/boiler and microwave. Lots of natural light, with views of the surrounding property. Separate from the main house, it feels very private. Ten minutes to the Plaze, excellent hiking courses three minutes away. Amazing stars at night. And very quiet. Owner is very communicative. Highly recommended.

Exceeded expectations!

We loved staying here! A beautiful spot for morning coffee before heading out for the day’s activities and relaxing retreat after returning home. Super clean and comfortable. I wish I could have stayed longer. Michelle is so welcoming and she did a great job with the property!

Relaxing, serene, quiet retreat

An amazing area close to town for our day trips throughout the week. The casita is comfortable and well equipped for cooking, everything we needed. In the evenings we enjoyed watching the bunnies from the patio! Lovely place you have and thank you for sharing with us.

A get away from Dallas

The Casita was a very warm and welcoming place. From the, “Welcome to the Casita”, hand written note, to the deer walking past the property in the early morning. This place is a 10 out of 10. It was clean, well maintained, the instruction manual was clear on what to do in all situations. The grocery stores and the downtown area were about 5-10 minutes away. The nights were quiet, safe and the open screened windows let in a welcomed cool breeze. Michelle was the perfect host for this VRBO. When we first got to the Casita, she greeted us and show us around. I thought that was very sweet of her. We took advantage of the nearby hiking trails and sightseeing in downtown Santa Fe. We had a fantastic time and will return to Santa Fe in the near future.

Great getaway

The house was clean and comfortable, the property was secluded but a short drive from everything, and the host, Michelle, was on-site, lovely, and responsive. We've come to Santa Fe almost yearly since 1982, and Michelle's house beats a hotel any day. If you seek peace and quiet, this house is perfect for two.

Exceptional Experience

I've been staying in vacation rentals for about 20 years and this property exceeds any other. Scrupulously clean, beautifully maintained and anything you need for your stay is there. And, Michelle, the property owner, was gracious and generous. I'd forgotten my phone charger and she loaned me one. Little details such as that made for a lovely stay. My only regret is that my vacation wasn't longer!

Very special place

The casita exceeded our expectations. Michelle’s attention to every single detail, which fused a unique and refined design sensibility with comfort created the perfect home away from home. The property is beautiful, quiet, and secluded while being only 10 minutes away from the center of Santa Fe. Amazing natural sites are only an hour or two drive away. We had a wonderful week here and hope to return. Michelle was responsive, helpful, and classy in the best sense of that word. Highly recommend.

Cute 1 bedroom stay in the woods

Casita! I loved the location, knowing it was a 5 min drive from downtown. The space was great- although it’s definitely one bedroom which I felt was a little unclear. Had a bit of a musty smell and I wish there were window coverings in the bedroom, but overall great stay

Wonderful Property!

Michelle was a great communicator. This is a lovely casita, in the country but a short drive into town (and Ten Thousand Waves). Stylishly decorated with everything we needed for a week. There are trails straight from the door. We will be back.

Such a special property to feel peace and beauty!

This property sits in fabulous surroundings with lovely views. Michelle has decorated beautifully, has added many high end extra’s inside to make your stay wonderfully comfortable. She makes enjoying her cozy 'casita" easy. (linens, towels, blankets, coffee, toiletries/soaps and scents, great wine glasses, the list goes on) I cant say enough positive things about this property.

Slice of Santa Fe Heaven

This is a beautiful property with such a serene setting. The casita is beautifully appointed and exceptionally comfortable for a couple. The setting is truly quite private even though it sits next to the main house. The owners have provided many thoughtful touches, including robes, slippers, yoga mat and fully stocked coffee bar, your choice of Nespresso or traditional coffee. We enjoyed the peaceful, natural setting, watching birds, squirrels and chipmunks. Just a couple of miles out of the Plaza up the mountain road above. Very close to excellent hiking trails as well as Santa Fe Ski. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the efficient high end kitchen, eating on the patio when sunny and eating indoors in front of an amazing large picture window during the rain. The kitchen had everything we needed, including spices, oil, foil. Lovely stay...just perfect for my annual Santa Fe birthday. We hope to come again for a longer stay in the future.
