Families return year after year to enjoy the area. A well-organized kitchen and large private pool with lounge chairs and a covered area and front porch are elements guests love. There's a book nook that your kids will find while exploring too!

Toulouse Mongoose is a beloved retreat for vacationing families and groups heading to the Florida Panhandle for a weeklong summer escape or a long weekend with friends. Nestled in Historic Grayton Beach, this charming beach house—located just two homes back from the Gulf—offers an inviting blend of comfort, space, and coastal charm for creating lasting memories.

Many families become repeat guests of Toulouse Mongoose, enjoying their beach holiday at our home. Come down and use the house to switch off from work, relax, and reconnect with family and friends. It's a perfect layout for a couple of families and your kids/grandkids to spread out and build memories together. Enjoy listening to the surf from the front porch after a long, fun day at the beach. The large private pool is the perfect spot for kids to enjoy, with a shaded area that has plenty of space to relax out of the sun.

Summer stays typically run Sunday to Sunday, giving you a full weekend to settle in and enjoy, with less traffic to contend with on arrival and departure. We are flexible, so just ask!

Step outside to find two convenient beach access points—the closest just 2 minutes from the back door. It's 75 yards to the Gulf walkway, with plenty of beach for your chairs, paddle boards, umbrellas, cooler, and more.

Enjoy the laid back Old Florida historic beach town of Grayton Beach that includes all the modern amenities, including some of the best restaurants and shops along 30A. Walk, bike, beach, chill... repeat.

Families, retreats, and girls weekends from this central spot keeps you close to everything and, at the same time, located in a quiet part in the middle of the 30A beach.

Parking for 3 cars and plenty of bicycles! Stocked Kitchen, luxurious bedding, porch with rocking chairs, and a large pool plus covered seating area. Local Restaurants include, The Red Bar, Chiringo, Hibiscus Inn, AJs, Hurricane Oyster Bar, Black Bear, Bud & Alley's, and many more. No pets please.

The home is nestled in Grayton Beach two homes back from the ocean. The spacious layout and comfortable feel has families returning year after year.

We provide guests with a list of things to see and do in the area at the time of booking and give home access information 2 weeks before arrival. FYI - our pool cleaners typically clean the pool on Wednesday mornings, sometimes it's super early.

Historic Grayton Beach was founded in 1890. Plenty of local eateries and shops abound. Access to everything, yet the town maintains its small, cool beach vibe.

Park your car, let the air out of your tires and hit the beach! Paddle boarding along the brackish lakes and out into the ocean is an amazing experience.
Miles of bike paths to explore the entire 17 miles of 30A start just down the road. Ride locally to check out Grayton Beach State Park and neighboring towns, including WaterColor and Seaside and Seagrove.

You are just around the corner from all the action of Seaside and Watercolor to the east. There's also the famous blue mountain beach creamery and restaurants in Blue Mountain to enjoy.

We highly recommend parking your vehicles and planning on enjoying the outdoors and all the area has to offer. Bike riding is an area favorite - there's a 17 mile bike pathway that goes through each beach town. We also recommend riding into Grayton Beach State Park or hop across the street into Washington Point Forest for trail riding.

We are happy to recommend locals who can help coordinate trail rides, yoga sessions, hikes, bird watching, foodie dinners etc.
