“The small hotel is in Marampata, Peru, close to Choquequirao. Everything that gets to Marampata comes on a human's or mule's back on a brutally long day of hiking. The fact that the hotel exists there is amazing in itself. No idea how the mattresses got there. My son and I stayed 2 nights on a recent hiking trip to Choque. We didn't want to carry tent/sleeping bags/ground mat, etc...and add day/s to the hike, although we could have camped for very little money. The hotel was well worth the...

"We stayed here due to an emergency. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a water leak and the staff were rude and not accommodating, even though we were very tired. At breakfast, there was no flexibility when we slightly exceeded the time limit, and the tone was unfriendly. Nice location, but we would not return."
