In the area surrounding the property, just a few meters away, there is a mini-market, a snack bar, a gas station, an ATM, a pharmacy, and a bus stop.
In the upper part of the parish, in Lombadas, you’ll find the newest accessible waterfalls on the island of Madeira, the “7 Wonders of Lombadas,” which are seven sites with natural springs and pristine waterfalls that can now be visited thanks to the efforts of a group of local volunteers who, in 2018, began cleaning the area and building access paths to them.
Just a 10-minute walk away, you can visit the public saltwater swimming pool, located next to a small sheltered harbor, and the Sanctuary of Senhor Bom Jesus, which, as the area developed—it was elevated to parish status in 1552— the original chapel underwent renovations throughout the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, becoming one of the most beautiful churches in the northern part of the island.
