Experience all four Adirondack seasons from our beautifully renovated 1-bedroom, 1-bath retreat in the heart of Saranac Lake, just 15 minutes from downtown Lake Placid. This private unit — complete with a cozy living area and enclosed three-season porch — has been thoughtfully designed to blend comfort, character, and local Adirondack charm.

Apartment was great, very clean, kitchen was well stocked, neighborhood felt very safe, one of the highlights was that it was within walking distance of downtown Saranac with all the shops and restaurants. Everything in the apartment was in very good condtion it was very well kept. Check-in and Check-out were very easy. One drawback for us was the street noise it is on the corner of a very busy intersection.

Very clean and comfortable. Almost everything you need. Great communication. Pictures don't show the window AC unit in bedroom, which is great when hot, but not as sound proof. Convenient and walkable location, but on the corner of 2 busy streets. Frequent large trucks going up the hill can get quite noisy, so light sleepers may need good earplugs or a white noise machine (I didn't sleep well).

This property was perfect for our short stay in Saranac Lake. Clean comfortable 1 br, with modest but practical kitchen. It is situated along a noisy thoroughfare with trucks during the day, but being out and about during the day, it was not a problem. Walking distance to EVERYTHING in town was worth it.

What a lovely retreat in the middle of Saranac Lake. Walking distance to countless restaurants and shops. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials, including herbs and spices. The host responded quickly to any communication. I highly recommend this location and host if you want to stay in Saranac Lake.

Communication

The communication with Bruce was above and beyond excellent. I don’t think there is one thing I could think of that the rental didn’t have. (Oh air condition but they supply multiple fans!). Highly recommend this vrbo. Location is awesome.

Love the location! Very convenient to everything!

They accidentally over-booked the multi-unit location, so to fix it, they offered me a bump up to a bigger unit at no extra charge. I took them up on their offer, and I thought it was a lovely and generous solution. I LOVED being within walking distance to some of the wonderful cafes, pubs, and restaurants. The unit was clean, comfortable, and I really enjoyed my stay. I would absolutely stay there again.

This apartment is in a very convenient location for walking around town. It was clean and roomy with lots of natural light. The host was extremely responsive. We hope to be able to stay here anytime we come to town.

Basic

The property listing and pictures were accurate. Checking in, getting into the apartment, and checking out were very easy. The place was clean. This listing is perfect for skiers or snowboarders who just need the basics- a place to rest their equipment and head at the end of a long day. The whole place gave off a college dorm vibe - the furniture is disposable and there are no areas rugs (probably to help keep the floor clean). The bed is VERY HARD. It is a foam mattress with little give.The location was excellent - it is right in the heart of downtown Saranac Lake, which was an easy jumping off point for sightseeing and restaurants. The whole place just needs an adult glow-up, with real furniture, rugs, and creature comforts.

Checking Out Saranac Lake

Loved the location, and especially having the Health food store just down the street. The Saturday Market was lovely, lots of talented venders. Don't forget to check out the hiking trails . . . .and I found that the snowmobile trails are neat to hike before the snow comes. . . .no one there!

I would stay again but would like to see some updates

I mean it that I would stay again, as it was clean and location was AMAZING! We parked the car in the back of the property and walked everywhere. But as for comfort it was pretty average. I feel bad saying that because the Host was amazing with communication. I didn't receive the code for the door via VRBO so I called the listed number. He answered right away and texted me everything I needed, so that was great. But as an achy almost 40 year old, sitting on the futon and the chair in the living area felt like college and wasn't inviting. The furniture was tolerable bc the weather was BEAUTIFUL so we opted to be outside most of the time anyway, but to wind down that last hour of the evening and if the weather hadn't cooperated, a comfy couch or a cozy chair was needed. My suggestions would be an upgrade to the living area furniture and to the shower stall. The shower was clean but looks a little janky...

Spacious, clean apartment

The apartment was much more spacious that we expected. Everything was clean and tidy with a homely feel. The only down side for me was the road noise, especially in the bedroom. I had to buy some ear plugs so I could get some sleep. This was our first time visiting this area of the US the area was beautiful with all the autumn 🍂 leaves, lakes and mountain areas to explore

Lovely apartment

I stayed at this gem for a wedding on upper Saranac lake, and the unit and location couldn't have been better. Very accurate photos and description, clean cute unit. The location is everything, a quick walk to shops and eateries, and the unit is lovely. Nice big bedroom, very comfy bed, a really nice kitchen (big!) and a cute living room. AC in both the bedroom and living room, and there was also a nice fan I didn't need to use. Very nice bathroom. Perfect for a few days' stay. Communication with the host was immediate (!) and he was very accommodating with a request I had. Access to the unit was very easy with a key pad, and parking was available right on the street. Saranac Lake is a sweet town! Wish I could've stayed longer.

Great experience

The apartment is in an excellent location close to restaurants and shops. The kitchen was well equipped and there are enough power outlets to charge all your electronic devices in various locations. The bed was very comfortable Because of the central location it is rather noisy.

The CUTEST VRBO we have stayed at yet! It is a charming old home that the owner has obviously renovated recently, but kept the vintage charm with it. All of the amenities you could want are there! Owner is very responsive to messages! All in all wonderful stay!
