Castaway Cottage | Easy Walk to Beach

Castaway Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath beach cottage centrally located, just a short stroll from Tybee's mid-island beach on Jones Avenue. You will feel right at home in this bright, family-friendly home that has been completely renovated and is a perfect spot for a Tybee Island getaway.

The raised cottage offers an open plan living, kitchen, and dining areas that are bright and welcoming with a sleeper sofa, a large Smart TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining table for 4. The second floor is home to 2 bedrooms and two shared bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a King-size bed, Bedroom 2 is furnished with a Queen bed, and both have smart TVs. One shared bathroom features a shower-tub combination. The brand-new bathroom features a walk-in shower and dual sink.

Below the house is a screened porch. This great gathering space is perfect for dining and entertaining, with a gas grill for cook-outs, and a great dining table that seats 6. The backyard is fully fenced and includes a fire-pit to gather around for evening enjoyment.

There is off-street parking for 4 vehicles.

ABOUT US: Tybee Vacation Rentals offers guests the benefit of booking with a professional vacation rental company with over 20 years of experience. Our local team has knowledge of the area and our properties. We are available 7 days a week and offer 24-hour emergency support.

HOUSEKEEPING: Cleanliness has always been a top priority. The TVR housekeeping staff is trained to use the best hygiene practices focusing on sanitization, disinfection, and proven cleaning protocols at all times for the safety of our guests and employees.

MINIMUM NIGHT REQUIREMENTS: Minimum night requirements vary by property, dates of stay, and usually become more lenient for last-minute bookings.

PETS: This home is pet-friendly for up to two (2) adult dogs with approval and additional pet fees. Cats are not allowed in any TVR property. Please Note: Tybee City ordinance does not allow dogs on any Tybee Island beaches

EXTENDED STAY RENTALS (26+ NIGHTS): All stays require a refundable security deposit to be paid, the amount is included in your online quote. A monthly electrical allowance is assigned according to the bedroom size of the property and has been chosen as this amount should not be exceeded with reasonable usage at the property. Please review your rental agreement for a full list of terms and policies.

Girl trip

Excellent location on island, quiet, clean. Only problem was the outlets in big bathroom did not work, so drying/fixing hair had to be inventive lol. Beautiful place. Thanks for sharing!

Family Beach Holiday

Family of five came for holiday weekend with two dogs. The house was perfectly located walkable to the beach and restaurants and ice cream. The oldest teenager loved the apartment downstairs and there was plenty of room for all of us. Would definitely stay again!

Beautifully decorated and Clean

Easy access upon arrival. Great communication with Tybee Vacation Rentals. Plenty of space for everyone. Comfortable beds. Great closet organization. Plenty of kitchen items. There was construction next door, but they were respectful in not starting super early in the morning and didn’t bother us at all which was much appreciated. It was a short, easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed our time there and would choose this property if we come back. I would recommend that you have a guest book in the house. It’s kind of cool to see where people come from, their recommendations etc.

First Family Beach Trip

This was our first family beach trip with our almost 3 year old son. We had a wonderful time! The house was lovely and comfortable and exactly as pictured. The only slight hiccup was that the A/C was not working upon our arrival. The management company was easy to reach and sent someone out to take a look and eventually an A/C tech to fix the problem. While the issue was finally corrected, sadly we missed out on an afternoon at the beach while waiting for resolution. We had our pup with us as at this pet-friendly rental and it was comfortable for her and having the fenced area was nice. The house was in a great location and easy walk to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay

We had a great time on our stay. The house was really cute and provided all that we needed for the weekend. The location was good and the home was really clean. I definitely would stay again if I visit tybee again. The 1 and only complaint is that the queen sized bed is extremely firm. Not what I like but I'm sure a lot of people do. The king bed was just right. The downstairs area is a neat place for gathering and eating although we didn't really use it, as we had family staying elsewhere so we went to them. All in all, we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect for our long weekend!

Very charming house for our first visit to Tybee Island and Savannah! Well appointed, clean, and conveniently located near the beach and restaurants. Loved having a fenced area for the dog. easy walk to the beach. Great communication with the property management. I would recommend this rental to my friends.

Nice house on Tybee

Nice house in the center section of Tybee. Great location to hit both ends of the island and we enjoyed discovering the area. The lower “bedroom” was a bit odd since there was not access to a bathroom, but the main house was fine. Pretty pricey for a two night stay with all the additional fees.

Better than I could have imagined!!

This was one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Pictures didn’t do it justice, you will be even more impressed in person. The decor was perfect, all necessities were there and in great shape as far as kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Yard was well maintained and our 2 dogs loved the fenced in area! The location is perfect, close to all shops, restaurants and only 4 blocks to beach. Property management company was very easy to get in touch with and super friendly and helpful. We were sad to leave this property.

Beautiful home, quick beach access and perfect family or couple getaway

We loved staying here! This house is decorated as shown in photos, super cute. It’s a good size and stocked with mostly new items. They set it up very nicely as a rental—not many decorations and was easy to baby proof. It’s a short walk to the beach since there’s access from every street. Our 20 month old was able to walk there and back. The neighborhood is cute to explore and walk and it’s walkable to the pier, bars and ice cream on the south end of Tybee. We came in off season and enjoyed the quiet scene. The management company is easily reachable. It wouldn’t deter me from renting again, but the fenced in area isn’t accessible from the door. If you have a dog you have to walk them down to the fenced area, you can’t just open the door. Our dog loved hanging out on the deck with me. Great place! Already want to come back!
