Walk Everywhere From This Charming Garden Apartment by Lucky Savannah

Located off of the beaten path and within walking distance to essentially everything the Historic District offers, Rue Garden is an inviting and charming rental for your Savannah stay. Stepping into the living space, guests have an ample amount of plush seating, where they can gather together at the end of the day and catch up on their favorite shows. The living room sofa also converts into a queen sleeper sofa for additional accommodations.

At the back of the home, boasting with natural light from your windows that overlook the courtyard, step right into the fully equipped kitchen. The elevated, and spacious kitchen features all of the modern conveniences one could wish for. You'll have everything you need during your stay, which makes this an exceptionally convenient spot to call home… even just for a few days!

Tucked away, the Queen-sized bedroom features a calming, neutral palette and with a ensuite bathroom. The beautiful ensuite bath features a pedestal sink, plus a spacious shower/tub combination.

Guests are only a short walking distance away from Columbia Square, The Riverfront, City Market, and most of downtown's shopping and dining options!

What is parking like for this home?
This unit has one private parking space behind the home. All additional parking can be found on-street, and is metered which is enforced by the City of Savannah Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm. You have the option of feeding the meter, parking in a nearby parking garage, or buying a parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center. All of that information is included in our confirmation email sent upon booking.

*Our cherished home, Rue Garden, is located next to a building that is currently undergoing construction. While this may cause some noise during weekday business hours, we want to assure you that Rue Garden itself remains a peaceful and charming retreat in the historic district.*

Everything was as described and clean. Property management was accommodating and responsive. Really close to everything, so very walkable to food and places of interest. Ongoing construction was the only negative which was adjacent to the property. Not a fault to the place hopefully will be done in the near future to make the stay even more enjoyable . Would definitely return on our next trip to Savannah!!

The property is in a perfect location- central to everything in downtown Savannah. It is difficult to find and could use better instructions on how to get to the property, as our maps took us to a different location. The apartment is on the ground floor, and the above floor is rented out as well so it was quite noisy. The windows were also see through at night to the street so that is another thing to consider.

Cute garden apartment. Most things are within walking distance and the scenery around the apartment is beautiful. Quiet in the bedroom with no road noises. There is a unit upstairs so depending on those tenets it can be noisy at times but the quiet hours help!

Honeymoon Getaway

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It has an amazing location within walking distance to everything you want to go to. The house itself is very cute, and we were lucky enough not to have anyone upstairs while we were there.

Perfect stay

It was very cozy and clean. The location was great for the hop on hop off trolley tour which is a must do. There was construction going on right outside the door which at 6:15 they were talking off siding from the top and throwing it down into a dumper. Very loud!! BUT, I don’t holds that against the property owners. I would definitely come back again.

Nice getaway

We had a great time in Savannah. This property was close to everything. There were many days I took a walk and enjoyed all the sights of Savannah. The check in and out process was very easy. The house was very clean and I liked having some dish soap as well as dishwasher tablets. The only thing I did not like is how unkept the outside of the property was. There were two plastic bags in the little pond that we took out. I was afraid the poor fish would get caught in them. The apartment needs a little TLC. There were drafts in both the front and back doors. We put a towel by the front door to keep out the drafts. Otherwise, everything was great. Very cute place, very clean inside, plenty of towels, blankets and dishes. I would recommend staying here. So convenient and close to everything.

Fantastic stay

I have no complaints. Location was perfect. We walked everywhere accept for our car drive to Tybee Island. Home was very clean and well stocked. Very warm and inviting place to stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay. The property was real nice and clean. The only issue was with the people in the unit above us. They would stomp around in hard sole shoes thru the night and on our last night they got into a very loud argument and it sounded like they broke some glass item on the floor.

Historic Savannah

Overall, the property was excellent for our purposes. We were there to sightsee and enjoy Savannah. The property itself had a musty smell when we entered. Perhaps because the kitchen was built where the porch was. The surroundings were dark. The living room furniture was very worn and dingy. We found the bedroom to be comfortable. They had a beautiful courtyard outback.But, it was overgrown with moss. There was furniture out there, but not clean enough to sit out on. But, as I said we were not there that much.goneenjoy

Quaint and close to everything

The place was very clean and close to everything. If you obtain the tour pass online the bus stop is very close and you can hop on and off which was nice going to Riverwalk. There is a large refrigerator with crush and cubed ice from the front door and a nice oven. We will return to this VRBO townhome again. The hosts are very responsive before, during and after your stay. I am a former VRBO host in the Georgia mountains for many years.

Simply Adorable

We loved this sweet little apartment. It was beautifully decorated and the wood work/brickwork throughout the apartment was stunning. This cute little place was conveniently located near many restaurants and a Trolly Route.

Loud Construction but great location

***IMPORTANT NOTE** There is a MAJOR construction project two feet directly next to this rental and it is VERY loud. They are building a four story condo build directly next door. Lots of steel and machinery that starts at 7:30 AM. Construction will last another 6-9 months. Very loud. Pros: - location is excellent for walking to local and tourist areas - it was clean - The rental company was very quick to resolve any issue we had - Having a dedicated parking spot was great Cons: - front door is on a major and loud road and does not lock securely. We moved one of the end tables in front of the door and put a security wedge under the threshold. - Front door window and rear windows have no coverings allowing easy view into the space from the sidewalk or the rear alley. We stacked pillows to cover the front door window. We definitely did not feel a lot of privacy. - The furniture needs to be replaced in the living room. It doesn’t have an odor but the cushions are worn out and offer very little support. -The bed was not comfortable.
