“Many years ago, my wife and I had meals here when we lived in St Neots which were much enjoyed, but given we moved away from the area, it's been a long time. My daughter lives in St Neots again now and I needed a place to stay overnight. Having used Premier Inns generally, if the price was right, I decided to book, but was astounded to find they wanted £150 for a Tuesday night! Advertised as one thing (apparently Hotels.com won’t let me say what, so I have had to re word my initial complaint), when I checked in, I was given something completely different. Suffice to say, when I booked I was not expecting to be staying in a bedroom in someone’s house. Unable to get a refund dispute the proof I supplied that the booking was misrepresented. “L'aria condizionata era rumorosa ed inutilizzabile perché scorreva sulla moquette. La doccia si occludeva dopo due minuti e straripava sul pavimento. Mancava lo scopino pulisci water. Chiudendo a chiave la porta del bagno interno si restava bloccati per la maniglia semirotta!.Per tre volte (su sei) non ci hanno rifatto la stanza!!!. “Nice room, with excellent bathroom. The outside needs tidying up and some painting, so we were initially concerned when we arrived, but the rooms were fine. Nice quiet location too. The cafe is shut due to staff illness, looks like has been for a while but the Two Flags cafe a mile down the road is excellent for all day breakfasts, especially if you like motorbikes.”

“Room was nice and clean and the staff helpful. I was able to park close to the entrance. Breakfast (if you choose to include it) was via a voucher for the services and I had a full english to set me up for the day. One thing to be aware of is that Google Maps shows the hotel rooms here as having air-con. This is not the case and is an error by Google. Both the Expedia and Days Inn websites correctly do not show air con, which should be borne in mind if planning to stay in hot weather. That said...
