Your vacation home Eifelhöhe (approx. 60 sqm) is located in a quiet elevated area of Schalkenmehren with a beautiful wide view of the Maar heights, the idyllic village and the dreamlike Maar from the living room. To the other side of the living room (on the upper floor, incl. kitchenette and dining area)) you have another wonderful view of meadows, fields and forests. Ideal for you to come to rest, decelerate and recharge your batteries. In addition to the great view on both sides, you can relax in the bright living area in the comfortable seating and reading corner (incl. satellite TV and radio CD player). From the sunny balcony (south-east orientation, access from the kitchen) you can not only enjoy the beautiful view and sunbathe but also watch deer and foxes and in the evening the starry sky.

The kitchenette is fully equipped with electric stove (4 plates), oven, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker and toaster. The dining area offers enough space - also for cozy game nights.

The two bedrooms on the ground floor (1 bedroom with a double bed and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, one behind the other) are pleasantly cool in summer and are equipped with new mattresses with high comfort. Of course, the bed linen is included.

In the modern shower room (ground floor), towels, shower sheets, hairdryer and electric towel dryer are waiting for you.

From the house you are in about 250 meters in the idyllic village center with three well-run, popular restaurants, including a restaurant with cafe and bakery, an ice cream parlor and a village store and the Schalkenmehrener Maarbad (outdoor pool with boat rental).
In the immediate vicinity you can explore the beauties of the Volcanic Eifel on a variety of well-signposted hiking routes or on well-developed bike paths. In addition, there is the Kosmosradweg with start in Daun along the small Kyll, the Kyllradweg along the large Kyll, the Eifel- Ardennen- Radweg and the Mineralquellenroute as well as the Vukan-Rad- Route Eifel and other exciting bike routes. If you want to tour the Eifel in a relaxed way by car, you should visit the lava bomb in Strohn with the Strohner Schweiz, the cold water geyser in Wallenborn, the Manderscheider castles, the bell foundry in Brockscheid and the game park in Daun as well as the wolf gorge at the Heidsmühle and the eagle and wolf park Kasselburg.
