This detached holiday home is located on the edge of the village of Engenstein, in the heart of the Thuringian Forest. The peaceful location, the covered terrace and the view over the surrounding woods make it a perfect place to relax. The cosy furnishings create a warm atmosphere for restful days in nature. The house is reached via a short path from the parking area (approx. 80 m). Ideal for guests who value peace, comfort and direct access to hiking trails
The southern Thuringian Forest is one of Europe’s most beautiful low mountain landscapes and is also known as the “Green Heart of Germany”. Directly from the house, you can start hikes along the famous Rennsteig, one of Germany’s most popular long-distance trails, or enjoy relaxing walks. In winter, the region offers cross-country skiing and winter hiking. Day trips lead to the cultural treasures of Erfurt (60 km), Weimar (70 km) and Eisenach with the Wartburg (100 km). A wonderful mix of unspoilt nature, history and culture awaits here
