Unobstructed Ocean View - Chef's Kitchen & Hot Tub
Summary:
Expansive ocean views from the living room, dining table, and primary bedroom, and a chef's kitchen guests call top notch, with a gas range, air fryer, stocked spice rack, and a monster dining table for meals and puzzles. Floor-to-ceiling stone wood-burning fireplace, private hot tub on the enclosed courtyard, fenced yard for kids and the dog, EV charger. Sleeps 8 in 3 queens plus a sleeper sofa. Trail below the house; Shell Beach is a 15-to-20-minute walk. One pup per stay.
The Space:
A vaulted great room with two anchors: a floor-to-ceiling stone wood-burning fireplace at one end and a wall of glass at the other, looking across the meadow to the Pacific. The ocean view carries to the dining table and the primary bedroom.
CHEF'S KITCHEN
Great gas range and hood, roomy fridge, dishwasher, air fryer, pod and drip coffee makers, and a full run of cookware, bakeware, and flatware. Spice rack stocked; salt, pepper, and oil provided. Eat at the granite breakfast bar or the long dining table built for group dinners, puzzles, and pizza nights.
THE GREAT ROOM
Sunken and beamed, with deep sofas around the fire (firewood provided), a smart TV, and board games. Foggy evening? Light the fire and watch the last color leave the water.
OUTDOOR LIVING
Private hot tub on the enclosed front courtyard, yours any time; Sea Ranch is a dark-sky community, so a night soak comes with seemingly infinite stars. Front patio with an outdoor sectional and BBQ grill. Fenced, enclosed yard where young kids and the dog can roam.
FAMILY LAYOUT
Primary suite upstairs with the ocean view, smart TV, desk, and ensuite bath. Two quiet queen bedrooms downstairs. Sleeper sofa in the living room.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Three queen bedrooms plus a living-room sleeper sofa sleep up to 8:
- Bedroom 1 (primary, upstairs): Queen bed, ocean view, smart TV, desk, and an ensuite bath with a tiled walk-in shower and oversized single vanity
- Bedroom 2 (downstairs): Queen bed with a small desk
- Bedroom 3 (downstairs): Queen bed
- Living room: Sleeper sofa
- 3/4 bath: Glass walk-in shower and pedestal sink
The two downstairs bedrooms sit away from the great room, so kids can sleep while the grown-ups stay up by the fire. Fresh linens and bath towels are provided for every booked guest.

Guest Access:
The whole home is yours: the great room and fireplace, the chef's kitchen and dining area, all three bedrooms, the deck, the enclosed front courtyard with the private hot tub, and the fenced yard. The hot tub is available any time; please keep voices down after 9 PM out of respect for the neighbors. Bring the dog: one pup per stay, and the fenced yard and nearby trails are ready. Driveway parking fits 2 vehicles; your Sea Ranch parking passes will be in the home on arrival in a black pouch labeled with the property name. The EV charger is available for guest use. Your stay includes Sea Ranch recreation-center passes for the community pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, are sent before your arrival.
The Neighborhood:
Returning guests may know this home as SeaBreeze Sanctuary. It sits on the hill side of The Sea Ranch, where the meadow rolls down toward Highway 1 and the Pacific fills the horizon. A trail runs right below the house, and the Shell Beach trailhead is a short walk away; from there the 0.65-mile Shell Beach trail crosses meadow and pines to a wide sandy beach with tide pools. Plan on 15 to 20 minutes door to sand, including the Highway 1 crossing. The oceanfront Bluff Trail runs for miles past coves and tide pools, and forest trails climb into the redwoods and Bishop pines behind the house. Walk On Beach and Black Point Beach are close by car. Wildlife is part of the stay: deer and wild turkeys cross the meadow, quail scurry along the fence line, harbor seals lounge on the rocks below the bluffs, and gray whales pass offshore during their half year stays along the banana belt. The Sea Ranch Lodge offers oceanfront dining, drinks, and sunset views, and Sea Ranch Golf Links is a short coastal drive. Gualala is about a 10-minute drive north: Surf Market for groceries, Trinks Cafe for breakfast and pastries, plus galleries and small shops. Head south along Highway 1 for Two Fish Baking Company, Fort Ross, and the Jenner coast. Ask about the owner's nearby foraging outing along this stretch of coast; it is arranged separately and is not part of the stay (see other things to note below).
Getting Around:
The Sea Ranch is on the Sonoma Coast, about 2.5 hours north of San Francisco via Highway 101 to Highway 1. The closest airport is Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential; the drive up Highway 1 is part of the experience. The home has driveway parking for 2 vehicles and a J1772 EV charger with a Tesla adapter at the charger (bring your own adapter to be safe). Surf Market in Gualala is about a 10-minute drive. Sea Ranch parking passes are required for every vehicle and will be waiting in the home.
Other Things to Note:
The great-room fireplace is a real wood-burning fireplace and firewood is provided; the home also has heating for chilly coastal evenings.
The private hot tub is on the enclosed front courtyard and is yours to use any time. Please keep voices low after 9 PM.
The Sea Ranch is a designated dark-sky community. Exterior lighting is intentionally minimal, so bring a flashlight or headlamp for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast, hot tub included.
Cell service in The Sea Ranch can be spotty. Wi-Fi is provided, and there are desks in the primary and second bedrooms for remote work. All TVs are smart TVs, sign in with your own streaming accounts.
Sea Ranch recreation centers (pools, saunas, tennis) are HOA-managed; access passes are provided with your stay, and hours and availability vary seasonally. Parking passes are required for all vehicles in The Sea Ranch and are provided in the home.
Deer, wild turkeys, and quail wander the meadow; harbor seals rest on the rocks below the bluffs; gray whales migrate offshore December through April; spring wildflowers peak April through June.
The kitchen is stocked for real cooking: cookware, bakeware, utensils, an air fryer, pod and drip coffee makers, a spice rack, salt, pepper, and cooking oil, plus a starter supply of dish soap and paper goods.
Trash and recycling are collected on Mondays; bins are by the driveway.
Bring the dog: one pup per stay. Please keep dogs leashed on the trails and clean up after them.
The owner of this property is a local forager who leads guided mushroom forays on the Sonoma and Mendocino coast. Forays are booked separately and are not part of your stay; ask our team for details about these awesome coastal excursions and we'll put you in touch.
