Great Location
Lovely, clean property in a great location. Everything as expected and house nice and warm. Only note, instructions say the key is at the back of the house where the parking is but the parking and the key holder is clearly at the front of the house - not sure how a simple instruction like this can be wrongly noted. Other than this, everything great and would recommend property.

Perfect location
Great little property, nice and clean and very comfortable, ideal location with just a short walk to the village with shops etc and the coast with lovely walks. Would recommend and hope to visit again soon.

Excellent Accommodation
Really enjoyed our stay at the Guillemot, the house was fully equipped with everything you required. Ideally situated with easy access to the town and coastal path. Would definitely recommend you look to stay here.

Seahouses Holiday .
We’ve just returned from having had a fantastic week at Seahouses . The accommodation was everything as described and spotlessly clean with the bonus of parking at the property . The location was ideal , just a short flat walk from the town centre , harbour and beach and and well positioned for bus services if required to visit neighbouring towns and attractions. John the host processed our booking extremely quickly and was courteous and professional throughout ( Thanks again John ) . This was our first visit to this area and loved it and if we do return in the future we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Excellent.

Lovely place to stay
The house is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely little touches like toys, DVDs and books for our young grandsons were really appreciated on a couplebof wet afternoons. The location is ideal and so convenient for both the town and beaches. We are very happybto recommend.

Excellent Holiday
The house was very clean, well furnished and extremely handy for all local amenities. Almost everything that you wanted was to hand, from the shops, restaurants and pubs to the beach, harbour and lovely walks. Quiet area with friendly neighbours.

Family trip
Very comfortable house with some new additions since we were here in 2020. New settees, oven, shower, bedding, crockery etc. Nice improvement. Would recommend staying here. Excellent location for the town centre.

Great location property.
This was a great cottage in a perfect location. Everything was well catered for within the property. A lovely walk along the seafront takes you into the harbour or upto the town centre. A fantastic place to base yourself while exploring the area. Beaches here are excellent.

House is located about 100m from the coastal path, and 20mins from harbour in sea houses Our family was in Holy Island so we commuted each day of Easter week for 40 mins drive checking the tide for each trip . Could recommend the Serenity boat trip around the Farne islands

Good location
Had 7 night break. Property had everything we needed. Seahouses is about a 10 min walk with a bus stop close by and of course the coastal path on the doorstep.

A wonderful part of our coast
The property was fine, on a housing development just outside Seahouses which is only 5 minutes walk either on the road or along the coast. A boat trip to the Farne Islands and Holy Island is recommended as well as a visit to Bamburgh Castle.

Excellent location
Excellent location, short walk to centre and harbour. Plenty of room and good kitchen with lots of utensils etc. Only criticism was that the ensuit shower was too small, no shelf to place shampoo or soap and the drain plug didn't always carry the water away quickly enough causing minor overflow onto floor. Nice touch with welcoming wine and chocolates. Parking in description was around the back of the property however, it is actually around the front. This mistake is also confusing with where the key safe is located.

Thanks for the response I have asked the plumber to have a look at the drain plug, we have not had complaint about the shower cubical before, it is a standard size so I dont know what we could do. Regarding the parking being front or back it is subjective, the patio door goes into the garden so I would say that is the front but it is opinion and there are no right or wrongs. thanks John

North Eastern Delight
What a cracking homely base in a fantastic village, to explore the local area and the stunning Northumberland coast. Family of 4 with two picky teenagers had an amazing time. The house is in a fabulous quiet estate minutes from the village one way and the coastal path & beaches the other. Parking right outside the front door. The holiday home leaves you wanting for nothing, it is so comfortable and peaceful, well equipped, safe and secure. Friendly locals, plenty of food outlets, shops, pubs and eateries. There is a bus stop just a minutes walk from the house which we recommend; takes you to Alnwick to the south or Berwick to the north and all the villages inbetween. We used the Ocean Club pool and spa on the Seafield Park site which was lovely. The Bunker crazy golf and diner were quality. The amusements in Main Street were really good fun. My 16 year old even got a haircut at Charlie's, a lovelier lady you could not wish to meet. Very knowledgeable about the local area. King Kebab also well worth a visit! Theres a Murco petrol station/Costcutter just round the corner, also a huge Co-op. On a healthier note, the harbour, coastal walks and beaches are stunning, Bentall being the highlight, as was Holy Island. So many positives about this place. I would love to return as the only Must Do we didn't do was the boat trip to the Farne Islands. Cannot praise this holiday home enough.

Superb cottage would highly recommend
Just had a wonderful week in Seahouses. Cottage is superb in a great location to the town and beach both in easy walking distance. Easy to drive around to different locations, would recommend Bamburgh, Alnmouth, Alnwick Castle and Holy Island. Plenty of places to eat and the Old Ship Inn is worth a visit. Thanks John

Perfect little base
The house was a perfect little base with some outside space for our family holiday. Just a short walk from Seahouses and the beaches, and perfect for getting to Beadnel and Bambrough. The beds made for a very comfortable nights sleep, and the house is very well equipped. The location was very peaceful the whole week.

Lovely property, great location
Really impressed with the property, very clean, had everything we needed and within 10 minutes walk of Seahouses centre. Less than 5 minutes walk to the coastal path and a brilliant rock pool beach. Left takes you into Seahouses, right along the coastal path to Beadnall. Would definitely stay here again 😊

Home from home
Very good indeed. Everything you would expect from a holiday cottage. Superb location with only a short walk (5 minutes) to the coastal path towards the town centre. Th only criticism we had was a lack of drawer space in the twin bedroom. Would definitely use the cottage again if visiting Seahouses.

Great place for birdwatching as you are so near all areas, all the way down the coast.
The property was fine, clean , tidy ,but most of all near to all the places for visits. One of the best places for information on where to visit. A really nice place so beautifully positioned for a great holiday.

Good Facilities
Good for two couples or a family of 4. Location very convenient for walking into Seahouses either along the Coastal Path or the main road. Garden a bonus and we were able to have a BBQ (we took one with us). Well equipped generally, but could to with a colander for draining pasta or potatoes (just a little point). Owner very easy to communicate with and this coastline is stunning. Lindisfarne is a must and little villages like Beadnall and Alnmouth are charming. Will certainly want to return and would have no hesitation in recommending this property. Thank you also for the chocolates and wine which was such a nice touch.

Super house
A lovely house on a small estate very close to town centre and also to the coastal path. Everything was clean and the house was well equipped. Could have done with soap and shampoo tray in the shower, but that was only a minor fault. All in all, a great place for a holiday.

Lovely property in a quiet location
Very well equipped with 2 bathrooms and a cloakroom wc. Efficient heating system and plentiful kitchen utensils. Welcome gift of wine and chocolate well received! Short scenic walk via cliffs to harbour and rock pools or via road to main street. Would highly recommend and would stay here again with pleasure.

What a wonderful week!
As a family of four with two 8 year old daughters we were looking for somewhere we could use as our base for the week but still have the home comforts we all needed. We were not disappointed. There was a lovely gift of wine and chocolate left on arrival and we were pleasantly surprised by the house- mostly as we almost had a bathroom each! The house location is ideal- not even a 10 minute walk to the harbour but also the added benefit of a short walk behind the house to the most amazing rock pools when the tide goes out. We recommend parking between seahouses and Beadnell to get on the beach and walking across the dunes as it was very busy there: We also recommend Beamish- over an hour drive but a full day out- get there early as the towns get swamped later in the afternoon. Also the Northumberland country zoo- fairly small but was ideal for a trip out. We also got to visit Cragside as our boat trip was cancelled due to strong winds as well as Alnwick Castle where the girls took part in broomstick training like Harry Potter. All in a wonderful week, wonderful location and wonderful stay- we’ll definitely be making the 5 hour journey to return as there’s still so much to do and see! Thanks John! Excellent location
My family and I had a lovely week in Seahouses. The property is in a great location 5 min walk to a little beach and 10 mins to the harbour. The ability to walk up the beach at low tide was a definite plus.

Family Holiday in Seahouses
The house is clean, comfortable and in a good location, short work from town and also a couple of different beaches. The town is a lovely little town in a great location for short trips out to different castles and historic locations. Alnwick castle is a fantastic day out and is only a 30 minute drive away, well worth a visit which does cater for younger visitors (book early tickets to ensure you get signed up for dragon dungeon and broom flying lessons).

great property excellent location friendly helpful hosts
really enjoyed our stay and would book again. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed . Nice to have patio doors onto the garden area It was in a really convenient location just a short walk to town or onto the coastal path. Quiet neighboorhood and everyone friendly. Hosts lived locally and were friendly and helpful. One wish though would be for a more child friendly garden, it was mainly just flags and small stones, looked a bit bare but was a nice sunny spot.

Lovely cottage
Had an amazing weeks stay in Seahouses. Visit the Holy Island, stunning! Boat trip is a must. Beautiful beaches and castles to explore. Cottage has everything you need, the decor is of a nautical theme and very tastefully done. Very comfortable beds. Would highly recommend thus cottage. Nice welcome treat of wine and chocolates. Thankyou John we really loved the place and will definitely return.

Compact House Near The Sea
Ray, the “caretaker” contact who lived nearby, was excellent: he sorted out a few problems on our arrival in a quick and friendly way. We enjoyed the wine and chocolates left for us- THANKYOU. We wished the front and rear areas of the house were more cared for, especially back garden. Overall, a clean, well presented and convenient place to stay!
