“Our stay at the links was more than expected, lovely clean, warm room, excellent bathroom facilities, very friendly reception staff, excellent location for local ammienties and exploring the local area, a great little cafe next door where you can get a tasty breakfast served by friendly staff.i would fully recommend a stay at the links,we will certainly be returning ”

“Quirky building with character. Loved the options at breakfast and the food in the restaurant. You can step straight out onto the harbour and enjoy a peaceful break.”

“Ideal location. Breakfast was great. We had 2 rooms but room was cold. The other was fine. Loved the pub and dinner”

“There was only 1 fault we could find and that was drinking in the bar, extortionate prices.Apart from that 1st class across the board .Would definitely book there again but drink in the local pubs Ship Inn ,Schooner ,Black Swan ect .”

“Really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely cottage. Had all we needed. Clean, comfortable and cosy. Fab location for supermarket, bakery, gift shops and loads of restaurants a few steps away.! Short drive to major sightseeing spots too We would definitely stay again and looking into when we can rebook. Ps. Also got to enjoy the outside seating area for a couple of days. A real sun trap ”

“Room was lovely everything well thought of , 2nd visit to Newton hall but 1st visit to the garden rooms , only downfall was central heating box in hallway so kept having to go out to turn it up toom didn’t get that warm but I guess it was -2 , and also kettle had to be put on floor to be plugged in to use it which wasn’t the best ”

“I can honestly say this is one of the best places I've ever stayed & this certainly wasn't what I anticipated when booking. Our party booked prior to bad weather hitting & meaning we had to cancel our plans for onward travel. We ended up altering our plans & stayed on at Purdy Lodge for a second night so as not to risk travelling in snow. We were blown away by how helpful, kind, respectful & accommodating the team here are / were. From the second we arrived to check in, to when we came to...

“A really lovely hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, very well maintained and spotless hotel, our room was spacious with a fantastic terrace overlooking the castle, large well appointed bathroom. Excellent food in the restaurant. My wife is coeliac and they knew exactly how to cater for her dietary requirements, nothing was too much trouble. And the location is perfect, across the road from the castle and short walk to the local shops, bars and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again ”
