Great location!
We spent a few days on the coast and the location was perfect for our day trips down to Haystack rock in Cannon Beach, the Oregon coast aquarium in Newport, and the sea lion caves in Florence. There are also several hiking trails close by that we took advantage of. If we end up back on the Oregon coast we will definitely be returning to this property! Great location!!!

Cozy and Perfect Location
The wood burning stove was so a nice touch and really kept us warm and cozy. The kitchen was stocked really well for cooking meals. Location was perfect for walking to the promenade. We realized we'd actally stayed on the lower level a couple of years ago once we got there. We weren't able to make it on our original weekend due to a snow storm on that trip and the host worked with us to arrange for another weekend. She went above and beyond on that trip. Glad we ended up coming back.

Chilly, but peaceful
Communication with the host was great. We lost power which was out of hosts hands or control however, Joan was helpful and very attentive to our needs and concerns. This is the second time staying here and I'd definitely stay here again in a more warmer time of the year.

Great weekend getaway
This spot was a great weekend getaway for myself and my partner! Great location and great space to cook, walk to the beach, and walk downtown. We experienced an issue with the hot tub during our stay (it had too many chemicals in it), but when I reached out to Joan she helped to remedy the issue and ensured that it won’t happen moving forward.

Beach Vacation
We were very happy with our stay. It was perfect for the two of us. It was quiet and relaxing. We loved that there were many restaurants to choose from. The beach was awsome! We even found a few sand dollars.

Comfortable stay at Seaside
We very much enjoyed our time at this Seaside accommodation. It was fully stocked with lots of towels and anything we needed. It was exceptionally clean. We used the hot tub once on a cool evening and it was lovely.

Excellent Place
We spent 3 days here and enjoyed every minute. Place was clean and very comfortable. Close to everything. Everything we needed was here. Hot tub was an extra bonus as well

Classic Oregon Coast Charm
We loved everything about this lovely little gem. Quiet neighborhood, comfy bed and furniture, thoughtful accomodations, (toothepaste came in handy!), overall feel was just warm and friendly. Loved sitting on the deck viewing the river and being at eye level of the many birds and all their drama. Smart layout of the upstairs/downstairs units gave us a sense of privacy, although we didn't utilize the hot tub. Wouldn't have been a problem had we chose to. We appreciated having the BBQ grill on the deck! Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to stay!

Me and my wife had an amazing time. The location was easy to get to and not far some amazing, beautiful places (with in walking distace and a short drive away). The house itself was great. Had everything you need and more. Would reccomend to anyone.

Absolutely Amazing
The pictures do no justice to the beauty of this home, easy walk to the beach. I was not aware of neighbors from the post till after booking but this was not an issue as it felt like it was just me calm, peaceful and great overall stay. Will definitely look to book again. Perfect vacation house
This house is in the perfect location, it’s close to all the activities you want to do, but far enough away to relax in a more private atmosphere. The host was great to communicate with. There were lots of different environments on the property, we liked the small deck connected to the upstairs floor.

Engagement trip
I proposed to my bf while we stayed here. It was perfect. Cozy gorgeous and very romantic. Using the hot tub and being able to have a fire were awesome extras to just add to the stay! They had extra tooth brushes and tooth pasted which I forget those things so often so it was so nice for them to have just in case you needed it! Joan was so quick to answer any questions I had and accommodated us! It was a well needed week and very much would love to come back :)

Comfortable and well-appointed
We had a great time staying at the Chateau. The space is nicely sized and comfortable, and has everything you you need in the way of bedding, appliances, basic ingredients, etc. Joan is super nice and a good communicator. Hot tub is lovely! The beach is just a short walk away, too.

Definitely better than a suite at the same price.
Good stay except for the last few nights, the batteries in the smoke detector of the bedroom were low so it kept going off every 15 minutes and it’s about 12-15ft ceiling so I couldn’t get up there to change them and had to use the broom to reach the button, didn’t get any sleep before heading home. Otherwise nothing to complain about except maybe the amount of detergent the maids use. I couldn’t use some of the pillows the scent was crazy strong, overwhelming. I guess that means it’s clean though. Everything else was great, loved the hottub in the morning, buying one myself now.

Fantastic Place
This was a fantastic place to stay while in Seaside. It was extremely clean, and in a very quiet neighborhood. The checkin process was painless. It had all the amenities you would ever need, including an extremely well stocked kitchen. We would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Seaside.

Spacious upper floor one bed room perfect for up to 4 guest. Would recommend close to downtown, could bike there 2 bikes. Only one thing, in description no mention of sharing hot tub with other guest in bottom Floor. We will definitely try to go back

Such a lovely place !
Such a welcoming space on a quiet street, very close to the beach. Great kitchen .. nice vaulted ceilings and nice size bedroom and bath. The hosts seem to have thought of every possibility .. beach towels, yoga mats, bikes, Childrens beach toys, this house is well equipped for your vacation and very close to the downtown of Seaside. A little outside balcony was so lovely as well ! Absolutely recommend!

Overall good experience. We filled out the repair paper and made some suggestions, nothing that detours us from another visit. Was disappointed that it wasn't clear that the hot tub and fire pits were shared, wasn't a terrible situation though. The location was terrific! Hosts really put forth an excellent effort to accommodate. They thought of so many things that we were surprised by and that were useful.

Amazing Home for a week
This property was an amazing home base for our week in Seaside! Walking distance to the beach, where we had a fire and watched the sunset. Walking distance to the promenade, where we walked it in its entirety (if you have time I highly suggest it, Painted Rock Beach was fantastic) and definitely stop in at Mo's for some Chowder! Close to Cannon Beach and Astoria, and Dutch Bros Coffee, what more can you ask for!! The property has everything you would need for a great Seaside stay. The owners are absolutely wonderful and very easy to get ahold of.

The entrance was through garage. The garage was super dirty, messy and smelled mold. The fall ceiling was broken from several places and whole house smelled peaty. The finishes around windows and window frames were not one would expect from a homestay charging >200 per day. Bed made noises when turning during sleep and mattress was not good for the back support. I have taken pictures of the property.

I am not sure what all concerns are? You do enter through garage and in 17 years of renting Chateau (and several other vacation rentals in Seaside) this is by far the lowest rating we have ever received. We keep our homes very clean and offer lots of amenities. This is my favorite home to stay in, so we make sure bed is very comfy (slept there last night and loved it!). Guest rented on highest rate of the year- over July 4 when one room motels often charge over $400 a night. We had the hot tub serviced the day of guests arrival, had the yard mowed/weeded, and paid a cleaner $150 to clean (even though we charge $85). We are more interested in providing a great experience for guests than being profitable.

perfect location
The home is on a very quiet street with a view of the river where I saw several bald eagles. 2 block walk to the ocean and 10 blocks to several restaurants. We did short day trips, 20 minute drive to Cannon Beach and other beautiful beaches such as Smugglers Cove and Hug Point Beach.

Lovely views from the deck. Really enjoyed hearing and seeing the fish that were caught. Only two things were a bit bothersome. One, I didn’t catch that the hot tub was shared. Slightly awkward. There was a lot of sand in it and some white stuff floating on the top, so we only used it once (didn’t notice when we got in because the lights were off). And I might suggest a grab bar in the shower area. It’s an unusual height, and my friend has a bad knee/hip and almost lost her balance. But overall, lovely.

A lovely place
I love it. Just beautifully decorate. Location is perfect! Hot tub and fire pit are awesome. Crab pot, bikes and more that is available at the house to use. Neighborhood is so cute. Books, Netflix and more to enjoy. Comfortable twin guests bed. Main bed a little uncomfortable. Can feel the Springs inside the mattress. Gorgeous condo. I will stay here again if I ever come back to seaside, OR. ❤

The location was great! We could walk to town, walk to the beach and the river is right outside. The extras here is what made the stay. Bikes, a crab pot, marshmallow sticks....outdoor shower and hot tub definitely a plus. We will be making arrangements to come stay again!

The neighborhood was so quiet, it is at the end of a cul-de-sac, and it was peaceful. Loved sitting on the balcony and chatting. Sometimes when u check in to a place u are uncertain of the cleanliness, but not here. Everything was so clean and felt very comfortable. Close to the beach and the prom so u could walk. They have a crab basket and bikes in the garage!!! It felt private and homey. Thank you so much for the stay. We would love to come back when we can.

We loved the Chateau!
Our stay was so stress free and amazing. The house had everything needed for a comfortable stay and we felt right at home. The hot tub and fire pit were our favorite features but all the little extra games, toys, bikes, etc were lovely! We took a bike ride through town, cuddled up and watched Netflix, roasted marshmallows on the fire and had everything we needed! Great host with great communication. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful property
Such a beautiful property surrounded by nature in a quiet dead end street. The back deck is the perfect place to watch the eagles and other wildlife. Very short walk to the beach.

Loved it
It was great, we were told there was firewood for the outdoor which was not found, and replaced the smoke alarm battery, you need another 9 volt just in case. Overall loved this place for sure. Would stay again.

Had a wonderful time. The place offered so many additional items; bikes, beach toys, crab pot,etc. and was located so close to everything . the only thing that was missing from the description was letting you know up front whether it was an upstairs unit or lower unit. I was thrilled that I got the upstairs unit.
