  • Un rifugio per scrittori, un paradiso per gli amanti delle attività all'aria aperta, una fuga in famiglia, una bella riunione di amici, una vacanza all'insegna della natura con gommoni e kayak inclusi, tutto facilmente raggiungibile in auto dallo State College e dal Penn State!

    Scollega, rilassati e immergiti in questa cabina tranquilla e nei suoi dintorni! Goditi la solitudine della natura mentre beneficia di tutti i lussi della vita moderna. Situato su un acro, a circa quindici metri dalle invitanti sponde del fiume Susquehanna e dall'incrocio del Moshannon Creek, adiacente alle terre selvagge di Quehanna a Karthaus, Pennsylvania, questo è il TUO posto! Una splendida vista sul fiume e sulle montagne, un ponte sul retro dove cenare, leggere o gustare il caffè del mattino, ampie finestre con vista sul fiume e ampie opportunità per attività all'aperto a portata di mano.

    Il nostro rifugio a due piani in cabina è in un ambiente incantevole e tranquillo, con adeguate unità A / C, una cucina completamente arredata, 1. 5 bagni, ampio soggiorno con soffitti a volta, travi a vista, stereo con audio surround interno / esterno da impostare l'atmosfera, un grande ponte con griglia a propano. Sentiti a casa in tutte le parti di questa deliziosa cabina, sul ponte posteriore e sul fiume circostante e acri di splendida terra boscosa.

    Le opportunità per la fauna selvatica abbondano, tra cui osservazione di cervi, alci e l'aquila calva occasionale che si libra in alto. Situato a circa 60 minuti da Penn State, a 40 minuti da Benezette, a 40 minuti da Bald Eagle State Park, questa posizione è imbattibile.

    L'estate offre passeggiate in montagna su sentieri escursionistici, rinfrescandosi nel fiume, pesca, rafting, kayak e canoa, il tutto accessibile dal cortile della cabina.
    L'autunno offre una partita a Penn State sabato e forse una camminata domenicale al Benezette Welcome Center per vedere spettacolari alci (il più grande branco di alci negli Stati Uniti nord-orientali). Percorri i sentieri, galleggia nel fiume ed esplora i Quehanna Wilds.

Awesome cabin with a great river view!

Booked for 4th of July weekend and was not disappointed! Cabin is nicely decorated and the owner Dawn is so thoughtful and made our stay so wonderful! Saw deer in the morning and brought tubes to float down the river which was so much fun! Thank you Dawn for sharing your special cabin with us!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic Fully stocked with everything you need. This place was beautifully decorated clean and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the outdoor deck that overlooked the river. I would recommend this place to anyone looking just to relax or just sightseeing all the wildlife. Family Gathering

My Family rented 4 cabins in Millers Landing for a family reunion of sorts. Dawn's cabin was by far the best and nicest place we had! It's a bit off the beaten track, but so worth it once you get there!

PSU grad weekend

What a beautiful and peaceful property. We enjoyed it so much. Location was off the beaten path but only 45-60 minutes from Penn Stare which was convenient and less expensive for graduation weekend. We would definitely stay again!

Magical cabin on river

We had wonderful weekend in this magical cabin on river .just to wake up to this view and have breakfast outside enough to feel serene and dreamy .communications with owner was quick .house is very clean with comfy bed and small extras -snacks and spices . Would love to come again and cannot recommend enough

Great place

Amazing place to stay for a family or group of friends. Quiet, peaceful and clean. The house has everything you need, the host is very friendly and helpful. Just keep in mind, that the service/Internet is slow, but sometimes you need that too.

Football weekend

We planned a family trip to attend the Penn State football game and all the hotels were booked in State College. This turned out to be a blessing because we found this wonderful cabin. The cabin is immaculately clean and the architecture is beautiful. The cabin comfortably slept 5 adults and one child. There is a wonderful view of the river and the area is very peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back.

Had an amazing weekend visiting my son at Penn State for Parents weekend. The property had everything you needed including some board games that we had fun playing. Loved the views of the river, and the leaves were just starting to change color. Enjoyed our stay, thanks Dawn!!

Exceeded my expectations

Everything about this special hideaway was completely enchanting. A wonderful escape, set directly on an peaceful flowing river. The whole setting is magical. The cabin is immaculate and well-stocked with info on the area. Dawn checked with me via email shortly after my arrival to make sure all was well. My only regret is that I did not book more nights! A true gem!

Our Stay in Karthus PA

The property was and lodging were very very nice and well stocked with everything we needed. We did not know that it was the Elk rut season. There was a great viewing are close to the cabin. It is a great place to get away if you want some quite time. There are things to do in nearby towns 30-40 minutes away. I'm from PA, so already knew that it takes time on back country roads. You can't get to where you are going by how the crow flies. LOL We really enjoyed our time there!

Heaven on earth.

The peace, tranquility, surroundings & wildlife; no matter the weather, are pure bliss. The cottage itself is stunning, obviously loved and well cared for. Very clean, beautifully decorated, thoughtfully homey & very well stocked. You couldn't ask for more. Part of me doesn't want to leave a review because I'd like to keep this piece of paradise a secret. This cottage surpasses the pictures and descriptions once you walk through the door & step out on the deck overlooking the river. We didn't want to leave. All of the neighbors are friendly but not intrusive at all & Don, the gentleman next door, is a sweetheart with all kinds of info if you're interested (which we were) in the history of the area. Our host Dawn answered every and any question we had. She was most helpful. Check in and check out were a breeze. Her meticulous guest information book is a cut above the rest complete with directions from dining to elk viewing and more. Most important, the peace and relaxation that absorbs you within the sights and sounds of nature just can't be beat. Pack your clothes, stop for groceries & enjoy! Thank you so much Dawn. We can't wait to return!

This was hands down the best VRBO property I've ever stayed at. It was by far the cleanest, most beautifully furnished accommodation in the most gorgeous setting that I've ever been in. If it was possible, I would move in permanently. Chicken soup for the soul indeed.

Beautiful place and marvelous host!

This is an special spot--especially on a gorgeous weekend like we had--cool and sunny! Super thoughtful hostess, lots of sweet touches. Dawn goes the extra mile! Very clean. My husband, our adult children, and I loved listening to the soft river sounds from the fabulous deck. The 15 minutes drive back the gravel road was the only drawback--but that's how you get to this incredibly peaceful and beautiful spot! Well worth it.

Very quiet and relaxing! Fantasic view of the river and hills. Very clean and the beds were comfortable. We love to cook and the kitchen was well stocked. Lots of birds, chipmunks and stars. A great break from the city! Will book again!
