“We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed. It’s not the cheapest hotel, and not the most fancy...

“I’ve stayed here many times, and usually it’s good, but my room this time was pretty appalling. One single plug socket for the whole room (for tv, iron, fan (it was very hot and no air con) and any chargers), mould in the bathroom, very squeaky doors, lumpy mattress, very stale smell. Just not a nice place to stay. No staff on the desk when checking out. Sad cos I’ve enjoyed staying here in the past.”

Il ristorante ha sbagliato la comanda del pranzo e la colazione è molto english, scarsa selezione di colazione dolce, macchina espresso in bella vista ma non possibile avere un cappuccino…. Unica alternativa l’ immancabile tea o il black coffee! La stessa macchina lavora probabilmente a pranzo e a cena ma è spenta per colazione…”
