“We enjoyed our stay. We were only there in the evenings we had campfire each night and at one one night the manager called to let us know that the northern lights were hitting and we jumped in the car, went about a mile away, and got fabulous pictures of the northern lights overall it was perfect. It was right in the middle of where we wanted to go. Rock hounding, and waterfall chasing. We would do it again.”

“Had a wonderful time at this cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful and so is the lake it sits on. The scenic winding driveway makes for a mystical experience.”

“The Plover Retreat is an adorable, cozy cabin. Close to downtown Grand Marais and a short drive to Lake Superior and Pictured Bay Rocks National Lakeshore. The cabin was clean, with day to find and perfect. It was just my husband and myself, we enjoyed the deck and cooking a few meals in the kitchen.”

“The home is stunning and has an exceptional location in seney! The beds are comfortable and the amenities at the home are so much fun. We loved the pool table, indoor basketball, and indoor cornhole games. The outdoor fire pit area is amazing. The owners are super friendly and exceptional commincation. I highly recommend this location to everyone.”

“Host could have at least provided water of some sort. Smelled musty, no dishes or utensils not even cups for coffee, if I wanted to do dishes couldn't even do that as there was not kitchen towels or wash cloths provided. Fire pit but no wood. I'm not sure what a cleaning fee is for. There is nothing to clean. Beds are just mattresses on floor with fitted sheet. Overall 0 stars”

“Outstanding modernized cabin deep the forest. Full kitchen with gas stove, toaster, microwave and large-capacity coffeemaker. Main heat source is the gas fireplace, which quickly warms the living area. Bed was outstanding. Amply provided with towels and washcloths. Despite its fairly isolated location is easy to find and only a mile from the main road (H58). You're in the wilds here, and the stars are bright at night. Highly recommended. ”

“This little cabin was fantastic, even for just a couple. Every detail was perfect. Anything one could need was right there in the cabin- making things so easy and stress free. The lake was beautiful, from sunrise to sunset. It was so nice to be truely alone, like stepping back in time. We relaxed, read books, had bonfires, star gazed, and BBQed! It was really such a perfect family place- we felt guilty leaving the kids with grandma for our anniversary trip. We will be back and will be bringing...

“The accommodations were as advertised. Initially, and prior to making final payment before arrival, had difficulty contacting the property manager, but once communication was established, communication was very good. Upon arrival there were some construction issues, but the property manager made some grateful compensations. Would definitely stay at this VRBO again.”

There were a few minor things that could use repaired the bathroom door as other reviews have mentioned the sliding screen door and there was no light in the refrigerator but overall things were very very good and Sue was a great hostess we would definitely recommend this place to our friends.”
