“Great place to stay. We have stayed twice this year”

“Rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. Service in the restaurant was not very good or clean. Seating was limited beacuse tables were not bussed. People raved about the breakfast but it was limited, table was messy, and they didn't replenish. When an item like fruit or bread ran out, it was gone. Go early or miss out. ”

“Only challenge was the waffle machine didn’t work right as no matter how much you sprayed it, it stuck & was incredibly hard to get the waffle off the iron.”

“I appreciated the value and the location to Galena, Illinois. This was my second stay here and it proved to be an excellent choice, clean easy to find and great location. I plan to revisit and take advantage of other tourist attractions near this hotel...i.e. Mississippi Museum.”

“Greeted upon arrival and given tour and history of property. Short time later provided cheese tray and choice of wine on screened in porch with the other guests, followed by fresh baked cookies. Very enjoyable. Short walk to the downtown area for all the dining and shopping areas, great location. Room was very clean and in good condition. Slept very well on the bed. We will stay here again on another Galena visit. ”

“Nice spot for a quick weekend trip. Construction on a new building next door which took up much of the parking lot. However, staff was helpful and offered a shuttle to the casino. Strongly recommend Catfish Charlie’s for dinner nearby. ”

“We were not warned before our arrival that there was scaffolding on the outside of the building. We almost didn’t go in because the outside looks like such disarray. We were pleasantly surprised when we stepped inside and saw such a lovely quaint renovated house. The inside was very nice. The service was great and the breakfast the following morning was terrific. I will definitely stay here again.”
