Majestic Hideaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin was well stocked and just as described in the app. We had plenty of room, and our dog was welcomed which we really appreciated!

Secluded

This property has privacy. The cabin was clean and we had everything we needed. Hot tub was great. The posting needs to be more clear that the bedrooms are downstairs. Older people would not be able to go up and down the stairs.

Worst cabin I’ve ever stayed in

Very disappointed in my stay! This cabin was filthy and I was never comfortable being there! From the huge ants crawling all over the kitchen and dishes to the nasty floors and dungeon like damp basement. I have a lot of physical issues and couldn't get up and down to the bedroom well at all. Needs a deep clean, exterminated and stairs need fixed. At least give people a warning of their steepness! Not addressed at all on advertisement! I don't have enough money or vacation time to waste it on a rental like this!

Least favorite cabin I’ve stayed at

I’ve been coming up to the mountains for years & unfortunately this was one of my least favorite cabins I’ve stayed at. The only perk to this cabin in my opinion was that it was a street over from Dolly Parton’s childhood home (which we didn’t realize when we booked). All the beds were on the bottom level, but in order to get there you had to go down a spiral staircase. It was very unsafe, my boyfriend slipped down the stairs and my parents chose to sleep on an air mattress on the main level to avoid going up and down the stairs. The bedrooms down stairs were extremely dusty and not all of the lights worked. The flooring downstairs was coming up in places. We actually had to take paper towels and clean some of the wood beams because there was so much dust hanging. There were 2 bathrooms, but the one downstairs on the bedroom level didn’t have a shower (only upstairs did). The main level was nice and the kitchen was well stocked. The pull out sofa was so worn out that my parents weren’t able to even sleep on it if they wanted to. It was also very dirty when you pulled it out. In order to get to Dollywood you’re looking at a 30 minute drive, to get to the Parkway is even longer. The roads were very windy to get up to the cabin (which I knew was to be expected). For the price we paid, I didn’t think it was worth it.

Cute cabin

Very nice cabin. Good location very private. The hottub was amazing and clean. The jetted tub would have been nice but it doesn't work. The steps are a serious adjustment, anyone with a knee problem should reconsider before booking, there are very steep but the website does say that. I just didn't imagine it could be that steep. The view was great. They only left 1 garbage bag for a 4 day stay so be prepared to buy paper towels, garbage bags and toliet paper. I can see having to provided your own food and such but also provided paper products. Fire place was great but no wood was there. I did reach out ahead of time and ask if there would be wood there and was told yes but still a very nice cabin. Very nice time at Christmas.

Nice for a short stay

The over-all experience was great, location is some what secluded. Quite little spot in the woods. Now. I gave it 4 stars. BUT! The cabin could use some updating, its obviously a very well used cabin, the parking isnt great, and there is a stair case inside that could be troublesome for some guest's as the bedrooms are on the lower floor. Me and my wife are in our late 20's and early 30's as it was not that big of a deal. The down stairs flooring is in bad shape as well as the "trim" around the bathtub down stairs( open holes, randomly placed flooring around tub) Outdoor flood lights would have been helpful. The jacuzzi tub located down stairs doesn't work. Even though we were not there for the wifi or tv. The wifi would not connect, even after following well laid out directions. The tv in the bedrooms have cable only. 5-8 channels. The upstairs area is perfect for what it is. It is very welcoming and peaceful. My wife and i enjoyed it, it is just my opinion that for the cost it needs some updates

Look somewhere else

Extremely dirty, poorly kept, terrible and dangerous driveway. It is not adequate for a full size vehicle, temperature of house is not consistent throughout. The downstairs bedrooms are freezing and upstairs hot. Master bedroom has king size bed with foam on top. Very uncomfortable. Unable to use fireplace due to no fat lighter. Fire wood but that’s it. Could not walk on floor with no shoes due to dirt (filthy). My husband walked across floor with white docks on just through living room and they were completely black. Broom was old and filthy as well. Completely useless to use. Iron did not work. Shower door had sign to squeegee after use. There was no squeegee. Emailed about a Plak that fell off wall while we were sitting watching tv. Still received no answer. Furniture is old and worn out and very uncomfortable. We put blankets over everything because I did not trust that they were not dirty as well. Evidently owners do not care since they are trying to sell this house for $300,000. We have stayed in many cabins over the years and this is without a doubt the worse. I would give them $300 to just tear it down.

Dirty

- I've read some reviews about the property cleanliness and I thought that could be just a bad housekeeper's day but the property is really dusty and dirty. It's actually unfair being charged for a cleaning fee when you don't find the place clean and the next party probably won't find as well. - The wood stair into the bedrooms is extremely dangerous. - There's no shower on the bedrooms level. You have to go upstairs to shower. - The way to and from the cabin is above dangerous. Please avoid driving after 5PM. - The internet is below average and there's barely no signal of cellphone. Be prepared.

The cabin is average; smaller in person than what is led to be believed in the pictures. The stairs are tight and would be difficult for anyone not able bodied. It could also use a through cleaning; ceiling fans were dusty so we didn’t turn them on and the top of the fridge was loaded with dust and an old lollipop stick. The mantel pieces are also covered with dust and cobwebs. The king bed was comfy but the mattress is very soft if you prefer something on the firmer side. We did enjoy the hot tub, kitchen amenities and the ability to have our pups with us. The road up is steep and narrow, I suggest a truck with 4 wheel drive and caution in the winter time.

Hideaway cabin

The cabin was smaller than it appeared in the photos, the driveway was a little tricky to navigate, we couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to connect which wasn’t a big deal as we weren’t there for the phones, it was actually peaceful without the phone (there is spotty service in the cabin), we began to grill and the gas for the grill ran out and we had to go back down the mountain to get an exchange, other than that, the house was well stocked, clean, and about 20 min from town! We overall enjoyed our stay! This cabin is perfect for a couple or a couple with kids.

Nice and quiet getaway

Checking in and out was a breeze. Location was quiet and away from traffic and people. Spiral staircase is steep, but not that difficult to use. Loved the balcony, and hot tub. Quiet, and relaxing. Would rent again.

We arrived it was a 30 min drive from Seiverville, was a advertised as 6 min away. The outside front and deck was dirty, The inside was clean. The first floor -kitchen, living room, and bathroom was ok. The staircase going downstairs to the bedroom was awful. It was spiral- the steps were narrow on one side and very steep. We have stayed in cabins with a spiral staircase before but these steps were very deep. We had a fear of falling. We often travel with our small grandchildren..I would not feel safe for them using this stairway. The hot tub was not working. The TV's down stairs did not work. When turned on it would say "weak or no signal". The upstairs TV was fine. The bed in the small bedroom was nice. The bed in the master bedroom was awful. You would sink and roll to the middle of the bed. We also did not like having to go upstairs to take a shower. We left our suitcases in the living room. When we went upstairs in the morning we did not go back down stairs until we went to bed. The bathroom down stairs also sounded like a jet engaine taking off when it was flushed. It woke everyone up during the night. We rented the cabin for 3 nights and left after 2 nights. We have stayed in alot of cabins in the smokey mountains and this is by far the worse. We will not be back.

Fall foliage delight

We came for the foliage snd we were truly rewarded. Perfect weekend even though we found Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge tacky towns. But nature didn’t disappoint

Bad location. Not close to anything. Absolutely the most dangerous stairs! Hard to get up and down

Great location, overall great experience

The property was in a great location and had everything we needed it to. Quiet and a short 30 minute drive to pigeon forge/gatlinburg. Kitchen was stocked with all appliances/utensils needed as were the bathrooms. Overall the property was very clean and tidy. The smaller bedroom might need a sweep for bugs, but being in a wooded area that isn’t too big of a concern. Hot tub and patio were great for sitting and hanging out. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful View

The downstairs bathroom leaked after the first use within first hr of being there. Took 2 days to get fixed. Very inconvenient to have to go upstairs in the middle of the night. There were little water worm things ALL downstairs. Kitchen appliances were stocked well but no things like storage containers, trash bags, foil, etc. Would have been nice to have more than 1 trash bag, dish rag/towel for 5 days. No detergent to wash up any towels. There was a broom but swifter pads would have been nice as we had a baby and floors got very dirty very quickly. Could use a deep clean. A gate for the stairs would be nice to stock for families with kids. Grill needs updated. Bottom pretty much gone. Beautiful view! We would stay there again!
