Too bad the cons outweighed the stay
I want to start on a positive note to not make the entire review negative. The southern comfort is such a cute tiny home! It has a great location and proximity to attractions is great. My family of 6 are considering living tiny and booked for a week thinking it was a great way to test out the environment for us. The way the house is set up easily sleeps 6. The bathroom was a very nice size. The kitchen had full size stove and refrigerator. All very wonderful things. Unfortunately our stay was overshadowed by the fact we could never get comfortable and relax the whole stay. Upon check in it was obvious housekeeping was not being done well. Cobwebs in all the corners, large dried sticky puddle under the sink, food on silverware in drawer and mold inside the dishwasher. Small things, tried to overlook them. Then we started seeing roaches. It began with a few small ones and by waking on the 2nd day it was obvious there was a full infestation. We reported this to the office. Was told to take a picture and email it, someone would reach out Monday (this was Thursday). No offer to even come spray. We were not able to cook or store food, we found a roach in the coffee pot and microwave. One crawled across my chest while sitting on the couch. I received an email on checkout Monday morning apologizing and I was given a 67 discount. None of which was close to sufficient or considerate. I would not advise anyone stay here. They will also tell you to go to the dollar store for TP FYI
