SUMMARY

CM14 SANTA MARÍA DE GRACIA is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment located right in the geographic heart of Seville's historic centre. We designed this apartment with both families and two couples travelling together in mind, who want to enjoy their own privacy thanks to its two independent bathrooms. It is just steps away from the Metropol Parasol (known locally as 'las Setas', the Mushrooms), the El Corte Inglés department store and the city's business district, and a fifteen-minute walk from both the Alameda de Hércules and the city's main monuments. Housed in the former convent of the Dominican nuns of Santa María de Gracia, built in the 16th century, it is a very peaceful home, where the bustle of the street stays outside and only the light from a charming inner courtyard comes in.

THE APARTMENT

The building stands on what was once the convent of the Dominican nuns of Santa María de Gracia,built in the 16th century. From that period the tiles and ceiling beams of the staircase, gallery and entrance hall are preserved, as are the courtyard's columns. In the mid-19th century the convent was secularised and split into four separate buildings; from this later period date the entrance gate, the marble imperial staircase and the façade, all of which survive today.



The apartment is on the first floor of a building with a lift, at Calle Santa María de Gracia number 1 (apartment 14). It sleeps up to 4 guests and is laid out as a living room with an open-plan kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The living room/kitchen has a fully equipped kitchen (induction hob, capsule coffee machine and extractor hood), a table for 4 and a sofa to relax on. Air conditioning is independent in each room — living room/kitchen and both bedrooms — so each guest can set the temperature to their liking.

The master bedroom features a comfortable double bed (160 x 200 cm), a small dressing room with a wardrobe and chest of drawers, and an en-suite marble bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, bidet, and sink. The second bedroom has two single beds (90 x 190 cm) and its own wardrobe with a mirror and hairdryer. Adjacent to this second bedroom, with access from the common area, is the second bathroom, which includes a shower, toilet, and sink, also finished in marble. This layout—one en-suite bathroom and a separate bathroom next to the second bedroom—is ideal for families, where parents can enjoy their privacy and children their own bathroom, as well as for two couples traveling together who prefer not to share a bathroom.

We designed our CM14 SANTA MARÍA DE GRACIAapartment to face an inner Sevillian courtyard within the historic building itself, so it has no street views or street noise: it is a very quiet place to rest, although, as is typical of courtyards in a historic building, the natural light coming through them is somewhat more limited than in a property with windows onto the street.

SERVICES AND COMMON AREAS

The building has a communal rooftop terrace, exclusively for guests staying in the building, with sun loungers, artificial grass, plants, shaded areas and even an outdoor shower to cool off after sunbathing. The entire building is used for short-term holiday rentals.

Access to the building and the apartment is fully automatic, via codes sent before arrival: no in-person check-in or physical keys are needed. The building also has luggage storage, so guests arriving early or leaving late can store their bags and make the most of the day exploring the city. For families travelling with babies, the apartment can be fitted with a travel cot on request.

On arrival you will find the bed made, one bath towel and one hand towel per guest, plus a hand towel and a bath mat in the bathroom. In the bathroom we leave courtesy toiletries such as a few rolls of toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo and shower gel. In the kitchen you will also find courtesy products such as a few coffee capsules, milk capsules, tea, sugar, oil, vinegar and napkins. All of these are courtesy items and will not be restocked during your stay, so if you run out of toilet paper or napkins you will need to buy more at the nearest supermarket. We also leave a variety of cleaning products (laundry detergent excluded). Bed and bath linen and courtesy products are not replenished, as we do not offer daily housekeeping, so we cannot restock products, clean the apartment daily, or change the bed and bath linen. Only for stays of 8 nights or more will we leave an extra set of sheets per bed and an extra set of towels per guest at no cost.

During your stay you can request apartment cleaning, periodic cleaning for longer stays, a bed and bath linen change service, extra towels, a babysitting service, a home medical service, or an airport transfer service. All of these services come at an additional cost.

Our check-in team will be reachable throughout your stay. They can offer tips on monuments, restaurants and flamenco shows, and will try to answer any questions our guests may have.

In any case, we have prepared a dedicated app for your booking with all the instructions for arrival, how the equipment works, wifi, places to visit, restaurants, events, etc. We will send it through the messaging system of the platform you booked through, so you can plan your trip to Seville.

OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS

We have 4 house rules:

Smoking is not allowed inside the apartment or in the building's common areas, and pets are not allowed to stay. If you need to smoke, please do so outside on the street.
Please respect our neighbours' rest. Help us keep harmony in the building. Parties and noise during rest hours (11pm to 8am and 2pm to 5pm) are strictly forbidden.
Please take the rubbish out to the bins before you check out. We will let you know where the nearest bins are. We have set up different bins in the apartment so you can recycle.
Please use the air conditioning responsibly. Only use it while you are in the apartment and turn it off when you go out to explore the city. Not only will this help the environment, but the units will also work better when you actually need them.
Access to the apartment is always via code, with no physical key and no need for an in-person appointment. A few days before your arrival we will contact you to share the access details and request the information needed for guest registration (you will need to provide a photo of your ID or passport so we can verify your details).

Early Check-in / Late Check-out service. THIS SERVICE IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY. If on the day of your arrival in Seville you would like to enter the apartment before the standard check-in time (3pm), and only if availability allows, we can offer an early check-in for a small supplement of €30 for entry before 2pm. Likewise, if on your departure day you need a late check-out (after 11am), we can offer the late check-out service, only if availability allows, for a small supplement of €30 for departures after 12pm, although the latest possible time to stay in the apartment is 6pm.

If you need us to issue an invoice for your stay, simply send us the billing details and we will email it to you from your check-out date onward.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The apartment is right by La Campana, one of Seville's most iconic squares and the starting point of the Carrera Oficial of Holy Week (Semana Santa) — the route followed by every brotherhood (hermandad) before reaching the Cathedral.

The apartment is located on Calle Santa María de Gracia, in the geographic heart of Seville's historic centre, very close to the Metropol Parasol (the Setas), El Corte Inglés and the city's business district. Heading north, you can reach the Alameda de Hércules in just a few minutes — the city's main leisure area — as well as the Feria street market and the most residential part of the historic centre. Heading south, 10-15 minutes on foot, you will find the city's main monuments: the Cathedral, the Alcázar, the Church of El Salvador, the Atarazanas, the City Hall, Plaza de San Francisco, Avenida de la Constitución, the Archivo de Indias, the Torre del Oro, the Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza bullring, and the Guadalquivir river.

GETTING AROUND

The apartment is ideal for getting around on foot, since pretty much the whole historic centre is within easy walking distance. If you are coming by car, we recommend parking in a public car park, as street parking in the city centre is very hard to find.

The cheapest way to reach the apartment from the airport is by bus. Take the Especial Aeropuerto (EA) line right at the stop outside the Arrivals exit. The journey takes around 30-35 minutes and the ticket costs €6.00 (€8.00 for a same-day return). The service runs almost around the clock. You have two options to complete the journey: get off at the last stop, 'Estación Plaza de Armas,' and walk about 12 minutes to the apartment; or get off earlier, at Santa Justa station, and from there take TUSSAM bus line 32 to the 'Plaza del Duque' stop, a roughly 14-minute ride departing about every 15 minutes. From Plaza del Duque the apartment is just over a minute’s walk away.

A taxi is more comfortable, though a little more expensive (around €25-€35). There is a fixed fare for trips from the airport to anywhere in the city: €25 Monday to Friday and €28 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. An extra charge for luggage may apply, although this is uncommon.

If you prefer, we can book an airport pick-up service for you: we just need your flight number, landing time, and the first and last name of the person making the booking. The rate is similar to a taxi from the airport rank (€35 for a transfer for 4 passengers).
