  • Benvenuti nel vostro tranquillo rifugio sul lago! Questa casa di tronchi personalizzati vanta soffitti a volta, splendide viste sul lago, un grande ponte coperto con griglia, pesca alla trota e una spiaggia piena di rocce da salto perfette. Mobili in tronchi rustici e opere d'arte originali offrono agli ospiti un'esperienza davvero d'Alasca.
    La pesca oceanica di livello mondiale nella Resurrection Bay e l'osservazione dei ghiacciai nel Kenai Fjords National Park si trovano a Seward, a 20 minuti a sud. I famosi fiumi Kenai e Russian si trovano a 40 minuti a ovest a Cooper Landing. Gli incredibili sentieri escursionistici della Foresta Nazionale Chugach iniziano proprio davanti alla porta.
    Al piano principale, pareti di tronchi sbucciati saltano circondano una cucina aperta, soggiorno e sala da pranzo. La cucina vanta un lavandino in rame, armadi in acero, fornello a propano e lavastoviglie. Il frigorifero contiene un grande congelatore per conservare il tuo raccolto di pesce e bacche locali. Un divano letto matrimoniale e poltrone abbinate invitano gli ospiti a rilassarsi davanti alla stufa a legna. Un grande ponte coperto attraversa il retro della casa dove gli ospiti possono grigliare la loro fresca trota di lago mentre guardano il lago.
    Una scala di registro personalizzata conduce alla suite principale nel soppalco. La suite presenta un rustico letto queen-size in pioppo tremulo, una cabina doccia e ampie finestre triangolari da 8 piedi x 8 piedi con vista sul lago Kenai.
    Il seminterrato alla luce del giorno contiene due accoglienti camere da letto con vista sul lago; la camera da letto bordeaux ha una regina, e la camera da letto salvia ha un letto full-size. C'è anche un bagno completo con doppio lavabo, servizio lavanderia e una hall con un divano letto doppio.
    La cabina può ospitare un totale di 9 persone. È un luogo perfetto per le famiglie o le coppie per godersi la natura e gli altri.

We had a great time during our visit. Steward was an amazing place to visit. Lots to do and see. Rays Waterfront was a great restaurant that we ate at. Took a 7.5 hour cruise through the national Park to see Northwestern glacier. Took another cruise in Whittier. They both were great. All kinds of hiking trails to accommodate whatever kind of hiking you like. The trail behind the cabin that leads to the Delta was breathtaking. Beautiful views there along with the eagles. The location of the cabin worked with our itinerary. The cabin was clean. The kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. Marion and Jesse created a paradise. If he ever head back to Alaska we will definitely stay there again.

We loved the privacy and beauty of this location. The daily train was a huge hit with our grandson. The lake and nearby trails were enjoyed by all and the house was nicely outfitted. Amazing cabin on the lake. Easy drive to Seward to eat, shop, and fish. Nice weather to hang out on the back patio. Cool to see the train pass by several time a day. Spent several day just hanging out down by the lake.

The log cabin was truly a delight. This is one of the best rental home experiences that we have ever had. The log home was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. I cannot recommend this rental more, my only hesitation is that it will become so popular that I will not be able to book it again.

Perfectly located! A total gem.

Great location, the cabin is awesome. Truly a special place. Make sure and grab a bag of marshmallows, because relaxing by the fire pit on the lake beachfront, skipping stones with the kids is one of those memories that'll stick with ya. The cabin has all the comforts you could want, and its an easy drive to Seward, tons of great hiking trails, and some of the most beautiful sights

Quiet area, beautiful home!

We loved this house! The distance from Seward was exactly what we were wanting. A bit secluded but not terribly far from town. The lake was beautiful amd we enjoyed reading the history of the home in the information book!

The Pristine Lake Cabin

Our stay at the Cabin was amazing. The hosts made sure we had everything we needed. The location was great and the ride into Seward was effortless. We loved our stay and even made friends with a Great Horned Owl! Can't wait to make a return trip!!

Excellent accommodations

If your looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy some amazing Alaskan scenery then you have found what your looking for. Marion and Jesse have created a wonderful atmosphere to begin whatever ever your Alaska experience may be. You will find everything you will need for your home away from home in this comfy cabin with easy access to Seward and the Kenai Peninsula. We look forward to our next stay, thank you.

Alaska wedding vacation

The house is great. Many neat touches. Owners spent a lot of time and effort to make a nice home. Crossing the railroad tracks to get to lake added to the experience. Only item that makes us not give it a 10 rating is the stairs to the door from parking area. Suggestion would be a landing area to manage luggage and top stair needs to be leveled.

Absolutely perfect! I can’t rave enough about our stay. As soon as we pulled into the driveway, we fell in love with this cabin. It was cozy, yet spacious and wonderfully comfortable. The beautiful lake is only about 100 meter walk and the cabin was stocked with fishing poles. Marion and Jesse were quick to respond to messages and gave great tips on fishing (both at Kenia lake and in the area). The cabin is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Seward but it was worth staying a bit farther out…Stock up at Safeway and you won’t need to leave the cabin.There is a train that goes in between the property and the lake but it was actually fun to see it come by twice per day. This is hands down one of the best vacation rentals we’ve stayed at.

Best Property We've Stayed at in Alaska!

We have visited Alaska several times and stayed in several different rental cabins and homes. We've enjoyed them all, but this log home is by far the nicest we have ever stayed in. It is every bit as nice as the pictures! It was immaculate and comfortable and very spacious. We loved the close proximity to Kenai Lake. You cannot beat the view and the peaceful setting. The owners were also very easy to reach and were very helpful as we settled in. This was a perfect place to home base for trips to Seward, the Kenai River, and several hiking trails. We could not have asked for a nicer place for our week in Alaska!

This was hands down one of the best vrbos/hotels etc we have ever stayed at. The home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The rooms are plenty comfortable, there are plenty of beds and bathrooms, and the laundry room is a lifesaver. The hosts are also fantastic and went out of their way to be helpful on one minor mishap I completely self-inflicted. However, more than all that, the home is beautiful and on perhaps one of the most beautiful spots on the Kenai peninsula. We completely loved our stay and were thrilled with our choice to be outside of the town itself. It's approximately 20 minutes from everything in Seward for when you do feel like seeing other humans, but feels completely isolated with the wilds of Alaska to yourself when you don't feel like seeing other humans. We had campfires on the beach, spent hours skipping rocks, and enjoyed many morning coffees in the yard and evening glasses of wine on the beach. There are plenty of fishing rods and reels, bear spray, bug spray, folding chairs, etc. The only thing I will say is to bring an eye mask - as an adult with 40 years of equator circadian rhythm ingrained in my body - I struggled with the Alaska sun in my bed at 11pm. Otherwise, this house was the best part of our Kenai adventure! (oh and the train is nothing! it comes by 2x a day in the middle of the day with tourists - it's NOT a commercial train like we have here at home)

Amazing!

My family of four adults stayed for three nights. We all agreed that this was one of our favorite properties. The owners seem to have thought of everything. They had bag chairs, bug spray, and fishing poles and tackle. The house was well maintained and had a personal touch at every turn. We took the trail across the road and even saw a bear in the creek bed toward the end of the trail! (Luckily the owners left bear spray for us to use). If I could rate this property higher I would!

5 STAR STAY

My family needed a short stay near Seward, and this cabin was perfect. Very clean and comfortable with a charming story about its beginnings. But I think you’ll have to stay there to learn about it :) Marion is a very personable host/owner and checked in frequently to make sure we didn’t need anything. The cabin is right on a lake and I am certain that this would be an outstanding place for a summer visit. It is about a 20 minute drive to the grocery store and downtown Seward, where all the “action” is. On the way out- we stopped at the knife shop across the street. The owner is friendly and fabulous, and really appreciative of our military. Worth a stop in. Great cabin. Great host. 10/10 would recommend
