Beautiful views, wonderfully located for the Peak District or Sheffield area. The farmhouse itself had a lot of character but there were some troublesome quirks. First, we had no contact from the owners whatsoever; we had to figure out how to get into the property by troubling the neighbors, who said they have nothing to do with the property but normally the door is open and the keys are inside. The WiFi was also down the entire time and nobody answered calls at the numbers or e-mails left for the property. The showers are also pretty troublesome; they had very low pressure and were these cheap little plastic button-operated jobs that could only produce freezing cold water or scalding hot water, and it seemed impossible to get a medium mix. Perhaps the property managers were indisposed and we had no method of communication because we booked through Expedia? Unfortunate, as this could have been an absolutely perfect stay; the property itself is nice and perfectly located and just as pictured on the page. (The house had a bit of a musty or pet smell, but I guess the property allows pets so this isn't so unusual. It wasn't too bad.)
