Property was easy to find value for money ,staff so friendly and happy. Some other guests were loud so could do with signs saying please if in late please respect other guests.

Snoring from next door, walls are paper thin. Light that stays on in the bathroom & illuminates the sleeping area for what seems like atleast 20 mins. Shower that drips & makes a noise after shut off White towels don’t have much fluff.

Hello JonathonThank you for your review.Unfortunately, there is not a great deal we as a business can do about customers snoring.However, after your feedback on the automatic light, we have turned down the time it stays on. In regards to a dripping shower, if it was one of the rain forest heads, it does take some time for the remaining water in that head to drain away. In future, if your towel is a problem, please use one of the methods of contact to speak to a member of staff. We will do our utmost to make your stay a happy one!

Uncomfortable Cold Night
When reception informs you there is a problem with the heating and there wont be any hot water until 08.30, that doesn't sink in until you get to your room. One small lukewarm radiator when its' snowing out side isn't much help, when the room is already cold. We have stayed here before and had no problems, but this time was a real shock to the system. Things like putting a small eclectic heater with extra bedding wouldn't have gone a miss. Even the duvet was a summer one. Yes my wife did sleep fully clothed, and it wasn't until the morning that the room warmed up and we could have a hot shower. I will contacting The Renishaw myself and will see what they have to say.

Exactly what you'd expect for the price
The room is exactly what you'd expect for the price and bed was super comfy. Only 2 things I'd say is 1) would be nice to have a mirror in the bedroom bit not just in the bath room. It steamed up after a shower and couldn't see anything in it for a while so an option to have a mirror to actually use after a shower would be nice. 2) there was a function in the bar on the Saturday night. When I arrived I was told about it and told it may be noisy is that OK. I appreciate the heads up but if it wasn't OK it was a bit late to find out as I had no option. If they knew there would be excessive noise and the chance it would impact my stay it would have been nice to know before hand so I had the option to go somewhere else if I wanted a quite nights sleep. The above two are more comments than complaints and all round was a decent stay.

Too noisy, floors creaked and screaming kids, what a combo. Breakfast in the morning was poor standard. £5.00 for two toast with a bit of scrambled egg on the top. Good location, but I will not stay there again.

The bed was very comfortable, I slept well 😴 and everything was clean. The only critism, I could not get hot water, only tepid, I couldn't work out how to use the shower but as I only stayed 2 nights I wasn't worried. All in all I was happy with my stay

All of the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. They go above and beyond whenever we've needed recommendations or assistance with anything. The property is always clean and the dining room has delicious food made to order! The building is old, so there may be some inconsistencies between rooms, but the rooms are nicely decorated and have all of the amenities one could hope for. My husband and I have stayed here multiple times and will continue to stay at the Renishaw whenever we are able!

Had 2 rooms, one was good the other was dire. Manager unhelpful and rude... apparently it's ok to charge the same for 2 very differenr standards of room. Told us that most of the over bed lights don't work so it's not only ours. Holes in bathroom lock and bedroom walls. Spare lamps, rolls of carpet, etc stored outside our room.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Check in and out was quick and easy. Our room was excellent it's decorated well, modern, lots of room with great facilities such as smart TV, tea/coffee making and a hairdryer. Only negative was that the room was very cold and we had problems with our hot water in the bathroom and shower. But the staff came and resloved this quickly for us. Great hotel for value for money and we would recommend and stay again.

Staff very friendly & helpful. Food good and wholesome. Plenty of car parking. A real ale on hand pump in bar would have been welcome. Situated on crossroads with traffic lights so a bit noisy until about midnight. Floorboards very creaky ! As a Budget hotel it is good value for money though.
