“Beautifully located with spectacular views over the beach. The roof top terrace is magnificent - more Mediterranean than the English Channel! The rooms are very stylish, the breakfast and evening meal are delicious. And most importantly, the staff are super helpful and friendly.
I have stayed for pleasure and work in many hotels worldwide and this one ranks very highly!”
“Very nice hotel, with a green feel to it. The room smelt fresh upon arrival and we even got a little complimentary welcome cookie. Good service and a very nice roof top view. ”
“The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. They provided us with a cooked breakfast as well as a selection of cereals.
Shenandoah House about 5 minutes walk from the beach and is close to local shops, restaurants and cafes. It is also within walking distance to the Turner Gallery and Dreamland.
Our stay was very pleasant and I would definitely return.

“We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend the hotel. The staff were attentive and friendly. Reception lady Laura was lovely and the perfect welcome.
The breakfast has great options and good quality. The restaurant and bar again have great options. Lovely views. Nice coastal walks in your doorstep and nearby hot spots. The room was decent, clean, and tidy.

“Sehr guter Stopp etwas außerhalb von Margate. Anmeldung im Pub. Die Zimmer sind über dem Pub, aber ab 22 Uhr war alles ruhig. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit zwei Betten. Die Dusche war hervorragend, und die Handtücher waren auch klasse. Alles pieksauber. Der Pub macht mittwochs bis samstags Abendessen. Dienstag ist Bingoabend. Das (kostenlose) Internet war ultraschnell. Margate hat viel mehr zu bieten als ich erwartet hätte. Ich komme wieder. ”

“We stayed here for just one night whilst we were visiting friends in Herne Bay and we will stay again! It was so convenient, there was parking around the back, and the hosts were lovely. We stayed in Room 3 which was massive! It had a little lounge area, a lovely bathroom and the bedroom area was big as well with plenty of room to get ready. There was also a fan in the room which was appreciated! Breakfast was lovely and the choice was really good. We can’t recommend this place enough. ”
