“When I came into the town of Shipshewana at 3ish I noticed that the traffic signals was not working and found out before checking in that there was no electricity in the entire town because of a storm overnight. So I went ahead and put my luggage in the room and continued on to my destination in town that had a generator running. I came back to the hotel at 8pm and found out that it still didn't have power. “If you didn't know Gallops had a motel above the store, well neither did I! I will start by saying I didn't know they would be charging an additional $150 on top of the $100 for the room, with the promise of returning it in 4-5 business days if the room was clean and orderly. We had the extra but in case others don't, remember that. Anyways, the guys behind the counter were fine. Some were a little hard to understand but we got checked in and up to the room. The room was spotless. It's weird...

“When I booked the room on Expedia, it said the room had a balcony. When we checked in our room did not. Went to the front desk and she said only the rooms in the atrium had balconies and she did not have any available. She said we booked a standard room and they don’t come with balconies. On Expedia website it says standard room with balcony. We did not get what we booked online and was very disappointed. ”

“We stayed here over the weekend and had a wonderful time and will certainly be returning. Debbie and her husband were absolutely fantastic and very communicative throughout our stay. The cabins were nice and cozy. We would recommend bringing bug repellent and bed sheets/blankets. The AC was really good in the cabin and we had a wonderful stay. 10/10 recommended!!”
