Set across three elegant storeys, Chantry House accommodates 8 guests in 4 bedrooms with 4 beautifully decorated bathrooms and combines timeless period features with sophisticated, modern comforts – the perfect base for families, friends, or professionals looking to explore both Shoreham and nearby Brighton. Once the town's original Chantry, this beautifully refurbished home has been thoughtfully reimagined with the help of local restoration experts. Careful attention has been given to preserving and reinstating the original Victorian features, resulting in a warm and elegant space that blends history with contemporary style.

This elegant three-storey home comfortably accommodates families or groups, sleeping up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The home is ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Brighton while enjoying the peaceful charm of Shoreham. Recently styled and renovated, the home exudes a luxurious feel and has been thoughtfully designed for comfort. There are two lounge areas throughout the house, each offering cosy nooks to unwind. The house has free unlimited wifi throughout, so snuggle up on plush sofas and stream your favourite shows and movies on the Smart TV via Netflix or Amazon Prime (just log in with your account), or gather for group chats in the open-plan kitchen/living area that extends to the outdoor garden area. The fully equipped, spacious kitchen includes modern appliances such as a double fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. The fully equipped open plan kitchen/living area comes with all the essentials for preparing group meals, including tea and coffee - please help yourself. The dining area seats six guests, perfect for shared breakfasts or celebratory dinners. Each of the four bedrooms features comfortable sleeping, two guests per room. In addition to the spacious house, guests can step outside to enjoy their morning coffee or evening drinks in the private garden – an ideal spot to relax and unwind.

Chantry House forms part of what was once a striking double-fronted home. It now stands as a fully restored residence with its private garden and is directly opposite the iconic St Mary’s de Haura – a Grade I-listed parish church that has served the community for over 900 years. Whether you’re visiting for work, a relaxing retreat, or a celebratory stay, this home is designed with comfort and space in mind.

KITCHEN / LIVING AREA
The fully equipped kitchen, complete with modern appliances, washing machine, dishwasher and double fridge/freezer and loads of storage, an oven, kettle, plus plenty of cookware, glassware, crockery and cutlery so you can easily cook up a brunch or lunch for everybody. In addition to this, we offer complimentary tea and coffee, salt and pepper - so please help yourself. The open plan area includes a dining table that seats up to 6 guests. You’ll find the sociable and light living room set up with a Smart TV to stream your favourite show through Netflix or Prime (just log on with your account), making it a lovely space for chilling out, getting together for a few drinks or catching up on the events of the day. If you prefer, you can simply relax and watch a movie on the TV. This home has two living areas set on different floors for added space and comfort.

BEDROOMS
There are two bedrooms with a mix of sleeping arrangements to suit your needs. Plenty of fresh bed linen is provided for all beds. Travel Cot and High Chair are available for hire.

Bedroom 2 - Rear left bedroom - The bed is made up as a double bed, but can be split into two singles upon request, sleeps 2
Bedroom 3 - Rear right bedroom - The beds are set up as 2 single beds, but they can be made up as a double upon request, sleeps 2
Bedroom 4 - Master bedroom with a dressing room - The bed is made up as a double but can be split into two singles on request, sleeps 2

BATHROOM
Bathroom 1- Ground floor bathroom with a bath, toilet, mirror and sink
Bathroom 2- Ensuite to rear left bedroom, bath, toilet, mirror and sink
Bathroom 3- Ensuite to rear right bedroom, shower, toilet, mirror and sink
Bathroom 4- Master bedroom, bath, toilet, double basin, mirror and sink

We provide plenty of bath towels, hand towels and bath mats.

LOUNGE/LIVING AREAS
Two lounge areas offer convenience and comfort with comfortable sofas to relax and unwind. There is a smart TV in the lower ground living space, so you can unwind and stream your favourite show.

PATIO/OUTDOOR GARDEN
Located outside the kitchen/living area, the outdoor area is perfect for unwinding with garden furniture, perfect for morning coffees or evening drinks

PARKING
There is space for 1 car to park on the driveway, and free on-street parking is available for additional cars.

IN ADDITION
There is an iron, an ironing board in the kitchen storage area and a hairdryer in each bedroom for guests to use
Underfloor heating is available throughout the lower ground floor
Late check-out fee - £50+VAT per half hour unless a late check-out has been agreed upon in advance
Travel Cot or High Chair fee £50.00 - only on request.
