    There is a bakery in Brookfield that has the most amazing treats which is just a few minutes away!

    The lake has a public boat launch so bringing your boat is very convenient. After a day of tubing, relax in the hot tub or enjoy a fire, lakeside!

    The cottage will have everything you need! It is truly your home away from home!

Everything was absolutely beautiful. We loved every minute of our stay, it really is a beautiful spot and you're so close to the water. We all took a dip in the lake it was awesome.

This place is a gem on the lake and was clean and well stocked. Rebecca was fantastic to communicate with. We had a blast and will look to rebook :)

The space was ideal for a family gathering (teenager and adults). The property was listed accurately and we enjoyed the privacy and hot tub! The weather didn’t work out to have a backyard fire. There are plenty of amenities near by, only a short drive from the house.

Fantastic location, everything you need is there. Lake is gorgeous and the hot tub was wonderful. Fenced in yard for our dog was perfect!

A great experience

Our two families had an amazing time and made so many wonderful memories during our stay. The home was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We spend lots of time in the hot tub and on the lake. Truly a vacation to remember!

Amazing stay!

The property was great and we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views and it was even decorated for the holidays. The driveway however wasn’t plowed and it was really difficult to get out. Overall, lovely.

What an unforgettable stay! Four girlfriends flew from Arizona to celebrate a milestone birthday, experience the SailGP races in Halifax, and enjoy everything Nova Scotia has to offer. This beautiful lake house on Shortts Lake was the perfect home base. The property is peaceful, private, and surrounded by stunning scenery, making it the ideal place to relax after a day of exploring. The house had everything we needed and was comfortable, and well-equipped. One of our favorite adventures was tidal bore rafting, which was only about 10 minutes away. The location couldn't have been better, with easy day trips to Halifax, Prince Edward Island, and the Bay of Fundy attractions. Canada exceeded all of our expectations, and our wonderful host made the experience even more special with outstanding hospitality. If you're looking for beauty, tranquility, and a convenient location to explore the region, this is the place. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nova Scotia!

Our 100 Year Stay

The Shortt Lake cottage was the perfect home base for our family gathering for my Dad's 100th Birthday. Handy for pickups from the airport. Close to my Dad's place in Truro. And comfortable for family connections throughout the day and night.

Beautiful lake house

This house was truly amazing! It was such a relaxing place with the lake, the dock, the outside fireplace and the hot tub to sit in on the cooler evenings. The beds were comfortable, as were the sofa and chairs. We loved this rental! ❤️
