Borgo la Chiusa has three independent units: two semi-detached houses (Legnaia and Porcilaia) and one detached villa (Fienile):

Borgo la Chiusa was once part of a former convent just outside the walls of Siena, offering guests stunning views, a peaceful setting, and a detached villa and two delightfully renovated townhouses with Sienese terracotta floors, stone walls, beamed ceilings, and beautiful finishes.

The exterior of each house offers a well-maintained garden and a lovely patio with a table, chairs, and a barbecue for outdoor dining and relaxation.
Borgo la Chiusa Siena's luxurious country homes are the ideal base for short and long breaks. Their strategic location, just a 5-minute drive from Siena, allows guests to enjoy all the city's fascinating attractions without sacrificing the peace and privacy that only a country home can provide.

A break at Borgo la Chiusa is ideal for enjoying the Palio di Siena, wine and cheese tastings, or even cooking meals; we can organize them for you.

Legnaia, whose name means woodshed, was converted from Borgo la Chiusa's original woodshed, part of the ancient convent.

This typical country home is located on the right corner of the property and is accessible from two cozy terraces at the front of the house.

The large arched glass door leads directly into the spacious open-plan living area, complete with a sitting area, fireplace, and fully equipped kitchen.

The rear of the house features a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with its own bathroom.

The other two double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, and a laundry room are located in the basement below.

The front terraces are equipped with tables, chairs, loungers, a barbecue, and umbrellas.

Outdoor surveillance cameras overlooking the gardens, tha backyards and the private gravel road.

Overall location is so convenient for Siena and exploring the countryside. Simone and Francesca were incredibly helpful with recommendations. Would stay here again!

A GEM!

This property is exactly as pictured. Exceptionally clean. The hosts, Simone and Francesca were very helpful offering information about restaurants and grocery stores in the area. Also, we had several questions before arriving and they were answered very quickly. The pool was a wonderful treat after a day of site seeing. Our family had a fabulous time.

Magical property in the heart of Tuscany

Our group of four – me, a friend and my two teenage sons – had a wonderful stay at this magical property. The pictures honestly don’t do justice to the sweeping views and the pristine condition of this four-bedroom villa in a multi-home compound. Yes, I said four bedrooms, which are pictured here even though the listing only says there are three. That was a nice surprise so my children didn’t have to share. It’s also a great spot in central Tuscany to tour much of the region. We also so very much appreciated the owner accommodating us when we had two things go wrong – first, I landed in the hospital when we scheduled our original trip so we had to postpone at the last minute. And then travel mishaps when we finally made it had us arriving many hours later than we anticipated, after 10p. So all to say, wonderful host and a special spot I never wanted to leave.

Fantastic great value location and property

This property was perfect, it actually has more beds than we expected so you could bring a bigger family. It's two floors with a downstairs basement that stays cool. The outside area by the apartment is lovely, three different private areas for eating, lounging and sitting, with good shade and sun depending what you want. The pool is perfect, really nice quality with almost infinity pool vibe where the water is perfectly level. There are a couple of neighbour villas which gave a bit of atmosphere but people generally kept to themselves so it still felt private. The pool temperature was perfect, cool yet comfortable. We spent nearly half the holiday relaxing and reading by the pool while the kids played for hours. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. Everything about the property was great, and near Siena. We travelled all over tuscany, from pisa to florence to pienza, so a great central base if you want to explore the region. The only downside was, other than siena, quite limited on nearby places to explore, you couldn't really walk anywhere worth visiting, but there is a decent supermarket 5min drive away and a couple of quality restaurants nearby.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit super Ausstattung und Pool

Sehr gepflegt mit super Ausstattung der Küche und tollem Pool (geteilt mit 2 weiteren Häusern). Allerdings waren immer genug Liegen und Schirme für alle Gäste vorhanden. Wir hatten viel Platz zum Sitzen draußen und die Klimaanlagen haben das Haus immer top gekühlt. Alles super!

Immaculate property

Friendly welcome. Everywhere is immaculate inside and out. Well equipped and very comfortable. Good sized pool area with loungers and parasols all in good condition. In front of villa was a bbq, a large very comfortable seating area with large parasol and a separate dining area. There was also an inner courtyard with pizza oven. The villa is in easy reach of Siena and good for a week’s stay. The owners clearly care so much and want their guests to be comfortable. A car is needed.

What can I say. I love, love, loved the property and Francesca was the perfect host. Make sure you book her for a evening dinner. Located in magnificent county side. It is like having your own country villa with Siena minutes away.

Perfect Vacation Home

We loved our stay at this property. Francesca was lovely to work with and the property is exactly as pictured. We were very close to Siena and the expressways. Ideal location for touring the Tuscan area. We highly recommend it!
