“Silver Lake is a beautiful location and having cabins to rent on the lake side is pretty special. The cabins are old and rather quirky, but you can over look some inconveniences, like luke warm water, missing chairs for dining, no plugs in the sinks and even a mouse in your room. But when we checked in they charge me for the room even though I had paid for it . I had to find my credit card bill to show I had paid for the room. “I don’t usually leave review but this was the worst stay I’ve ever experience. The check in instruction is horrible. It doesn’t say where we should check in and the front desk doesn’t pick up the phone when I called. It just give me the time and hour of operation and phone number. When we got there we went drive around looking to check In. During that time we went through the gated entrance which we though its part of the resort but turn out it wasn’t. “The front desk staff were not very experienced or helpful. We had a leak in our room, they failed to act sticky. I had to follow up twice with them to get them to take action and switch or room. They offered no apology for the inconvenience and no offer to help with moving our stuff.
There was so much chlorine in the pool and jacuzzi that caused major rash for my daughter. I saw the maintenence person pouring 8 cups of chemicals in the jacuzzi at once.

No air conditioning except for masters bedroom. Might be better to have portable AC in all rooms during summer. Most of of us, unable to sleep because it was hot when we went. 90s weather.
Fans are provided if needed otherwise ceiling fans are installed.
