Family cabin property sleeps 8 comfortably, with a full kitchen/dining room and 3 bathrooms. Can
There is a large outdoor patio with table and chairs and benches to enjoy outdoor time together as well. This space is great for large family get together as there are 3 separate bedrooms and 3 separate bathrooms. There is also a large pull out futon that sleeps 2 and a small futon that sleeps 1, lending that space to hosting kids as well. We also have a full sized blow up mattress with sheets/blankets for use.
Our cabin is very close (1mile) to the NE entrance of Yellowstone, with awesome wildlife viewing at Lamar Valley especially in the morning or evening time. We are only an hour and a half from Cody Wy, with lots of museums, and a nightly summer rodeo. Also very close to the 'top of the world' famous Beartooth Hwy, where there is sometimes even snow in the middle of summer. Can anyone say snowball fight in July?!!

There is a Studio Cabin above the detached garage on the same property, so the parking is shared if there is someone in that rental as well, but there is plenty of room for at least 4-5 cars.

Very nice secluded cabin, nice waterfall hike near the cabin. Beds are very comfortable and the cabin was very clean! Had a fox come to visit the cabin several times.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Originally we were going to have 6 adults and 2 children, we end up having 7 adults. Mendy was so kind to even leave some coloring books and colored pencils for the kids. Each couple had a room and 1 guest slept on the loft futon, all beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking tools you need, and there were plenty of seasonings. We were there for my sons wedding, so we did alot of cooking. The cabin was a perfect temperature, leaving the shades closed worked out perfectly. The cabin is perfectly located in between Yellowstone (4 mile drive) and Cooke City (5 min drive). I would definitely stay here again. Mendy is very kind and quick to respond to any questions before and during your stay. She also provided a handbook ahead of time that helped all my guest be prepared when packing and traveling.

Forest retreat

I mistakenly booked this beautiful cabin for Yellowstone in Montana instead of Wyoming. Geography was never my thing. However, it turned out to be great. We got all through the northern and middle part of Yellowstone and then we went up into Montana to see some of the most beautiful sites ever. This cabin was perfect for what we needed and the host was in contact with me the entire time and she was wonderful to deal with. I highly recommend staying here.

Awesome cabin

Clean, well stocked with supplies such as kitchen utensils, towels etc. Beautiful location, only a couple miles from the northeast park entrance. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Easy access to Lamar Valley

Beautiful house; exactly as described. Very comfortably accommodated 6 adults. Mendy was great at communicating with us. The house is nestled in the woods; gorgeous hike to waterfall behind house. And the access to the NE entrance to the park can’t be beat! We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return!

Awesome place and location

The Twisted Twig was the perfect house to rent for staying seven days and visiting Yellowstone each day. I highly recommend this house. Very spacious and every accommodation imaginable! We had five adults and plenty of room to spread out and relax after fishing, hiking and exploring in Yellowstone.

Homey Home Base

Our stay at Twisted Twig was fantastic. The downstairs suite was great for my elderly parents (it had an ensuite), the living room worked great for my adult brother (with access to the other bathroom downstairs), and the two small bedrooms and the bathroom upstairs worked great for my husband and me with our two kids. The cabin is lovingly appointed with woods/cabin-themed decor, and it's a beautiful home. (If you're sensitive to taxidermy, be aware that there are bear skins and mounted deer, etc.) The kitchen was really well-stocked (you don't need to bring spices, there's a whole drawer)! It was warm during the day, but we kept the windows closed and it didn't get hot inside. The location is AMAZING. You can literally walk to the Northeast Entrance to Yellowstone, and Silvergate and Cooke City are very easy to access, with gas, food, and fun (there was a Shakespeare performance while we were there)! Mendy was easy to reach and communicate with. We wouldn't hesitate to stay in her property again. You'll love it!

Outstanding Property and Location

My wife and I spent a week at this log home in September 2021. The location is awesome for those wanting easy access to YNP or the Beartooth Mountain area. The home is very comfortable and comes complete with everything we needed for a week long stay, including a fully-equipped kitchen. We spent the week exploring the Custer, Gallatin, and Shoshone NFs, and the low-traffic NE entrance to YNP is only about 1 mile away, and within minutes you are in the Lamar Valley area. The owner (Mendy) is very reachable and communicated with us prior, during and after our visit to make sure everything was as expected. We very much enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this property.
