Sister Creek Vineyards: Tour e Visite Guidate

Very cute cottage property that is on the Comal River, a very short distance from all the hustle and bustle. Staff was very friendly and helpful each interaction. The “room” we had was overall very clean, just needed to be vacuumed and mopped a little better. I’m gonna give grace on the warmth of the room as the Texas heat is brutal this time of year and air conditioners everywhere are struggling to keep up, it wasn’t unbearable by any means but we really could of used a small fan for sure. We loved the huge pool and that they provided pool floats/towels. The pool area had plenty of seating and umbrella’s too. There is access to the Comal and there were a few people in it but I got in and got right out, because the water isn’t flowing in that area and it seemed a little stagnant. Wasn’t a risk I was willing to take. They gave us the best recommendation for a river outfitter/transportation, PaddleTX. Stacey came to the cottages, picked us up and returned us when we were done with our float. He was impressionable and super helpful. Overall I give our experience as a whole an 8 out of 10. Most definitely will be back!

LOVED this place!

This property is great and still has so much potential! It is a boutique-style hotel that had been recently renovated as of May I believe according to the front desk. The styling and decor was top notch! The in room espresso was delicious! I had a small regular sized room, no suite so I can only speak of that particular room. The wardrobe closet was not one that you can hang a dress or long garments, which was disappointing because I had brought dresses to wear. Not a huge deal, but I wish I had been able to hang clothes like a regular closet. My biggest complaint was with the AC units which appeared to be new? I am a hot sleeper so I pay attention to air-conditioning a lot! I had turned the temperature down to 68 to cool the room down, but it managed to stay around 74 to 76 degrees Fahrenheit the entire stay. If you like a cold room in Texas heat this may not be the place, but it would be great in the winter! Also, you pay around $40 for parking even though they do in fact have a lot designated for parking so that was a bit disappointing. So you pay the same amount for valet as you do for parking your car yourself, a detail that wasn’t 100% clear up front when making the reservation.
