Gorgeous relaxing view
This cozy cabin provides the ultimate Sitka view! It’s a perfect size for two couples. Even with dreary weather during our visit we were able to enjoy the tide pools in the backyard and sip coffee watching the boats cruise in front of Mt. Edgecumbe. The hosts were very accommodating and the cabin was clean and equipped for our arrival. Hope to stay at Raven’s Roost again!

Relaxing paradise
Absolutely beautiful cabin, location, and view!!!! We loved it! Wish we had better weather during our stay and most restaurants/activities were closed, but we did go to Alaska in March. Thankfully we had an awesome cabin with views to look at!

Sitka 2023
Had a fabulous time on our second visit to Sitka. Raven’s Roost is just as described and in the pictures. Fantastic location on the water side of the road, close to town, close to estuary for bear-watching, close to grocery store, and perfect deck and indoor area to drink wine and watch the sunsets. Sea kayaking, looking for bears, Alaska day festivities, tons of halibut and chips.

Beautiful accommodation and views
4 adults stayed here for 3 nights before our Alaska Dream Cruise. The accommodation was great and the decks for viewing. We also loved the fire pit. Getting into town is 3.4 miles. Bus system only runs Mon-Fri. We were lucky that our cruise onshore support gave us a couple of lifts and a local neighbour. Overall we highly recommend this accommodation.

Perfect Spot for Relaxation
I'm always nervous when I book a VRBO - you hope it will be half as good as the photos and reviews say it is!! Well, Raven's Roost was even better than we expected! Katy was so kind in keeping us updated of our check in time and made check in super easy! The highlights of the home are the gorgeous views with sliding glass door you can open and listen to the ocean, even when it's raining (and be prepared, it can rain A LOT in Sitka). We had eagles roosting in the trees beside the balcony and loved hearing them "talking" to each other! We did see a couple of sea lion heads out in the water but with all the rain, we weren't able to stay out on the balcony to look for whales. But having left Texas with 110 degree weather, having to look through the sliding glass doors at rain and 54 degrees was heaven! We loved having a washer and dryer; loved that there were 2 separate bedroom and bathroom areas. Be aware that the secondary bedroom upstairs is a loft with steep stairs (we were aware before hand and it was not a problem!). The kitchen was extremely well stocked - even with items like flour, sugar, coffee, oatmeal, spices. And the refrigerator had a great assortment of condiments. We cooked almost all meals (3 meals a day for 3 days) and it was fabulous. There is a propane grill on the balcony. There isn't a dishwasher but that wasn't a problem either. Actually I can't even think of a problem the entire time we were there!

Great Cabin in a Great Location
All of the decks have spectacular views. The view from the downstairs bed is just amazing to wake up to. Cabin is clean and has all of the needed amenities. Kitchen is well stocked and we cooked several really good meals. Location is perfect, just far enough out of town to get isolation but not too far. Grocery is close. There is a downstairs renter below that is not mentioned in the property description but that was absolutely not a problem at all. Property worked great for us and I would rent it again

Dream Come True
I cannont say enough good things about Raven's Roost! This was probably the absolute best place we've stayed through VRBO! It was such a nice place, the pictures don't even show how beautiful the views and other awesome qualities of this place actually were. We've been home a few days now and are already thinking about how and when we can get back to Jack & Katy's house and beautiful Sitka! Everything we needed was there, the guys fished off the rocks at the back of the house (caught a bunch too), we had a campfire at least 2 nights while watching an amazing sunset and woke up to eagles screeching at each other in the mornings. A beautiful and relaxing time. We highly recommend this place!

Great accommodations
We stayed here for a week. The location is amazing. All kinds of wildlife to see right in front of the balcony. We saw Whales, sea lions, and many bald eagles. We will definitely stay here again. The hosts were very gracious and accommodating. This place is highly recommended.

Sweet!
Katy and Jack's place is a sweet place to stay if you travel to Sitka. It was clean and well equipped and the hosts were friendly and communicative. The 'stairs' to the upstairs bed and bath are very steep which could be a potential issue for some guests. Also be aware that there is a living unit below the rental. But we will stay here again if we are lucky enough to visit Sitka again in the future

Peaceful and relaxing home
The views from the main bedroom are stunning!! We loved lying in bed and watching the bald eagles sore past the corner windows. The tide pools right below the house are amazing as well! Very nice to be close to town, but outside of town. Quiet neighborhood. The only odd thing was that I didn't see where the listing clearly stated that you are not renting the entire structure. There is another apartment right below the house. It was fine - never heard the people there - but not what I was expecting when we booked. If you look really closely at the photos it is mentioned in one of them. That being said, we would definitely rent this property again if we ever go back to Sitka.

Amazing stay!
Our family came to Sitka to explore and experience Alaska. We had an amazing time! This rental is a really nice home in a great location! The views were amazing! It was nice having coffee on the deck in the morning! We saw eagles, whales, and of course ravens, from the decks. We will definitely come back to Sitka!!!

Beautiful location!
This property was beautiful. We stayed in this Sitka location for 3 nights. The views were stunning and when the weather was rainy, the inside amenities were wonderful. The main bedroom was very comfortable. We slept great. The location is exceptional. My husband I definitely recommend it! ❤️

The property is exactly what we look for when visiting Sitka. A great view with room to feed and entertain varied guests. The property location out-of-town makes having transportation a must if you plan trips into town or visit the sights. Hopefully, we will be utilizing this property again.

Alaska up close and personal!
Had a great week on the oceanfront in Sitka. Great views from the 3 decks. You feel like you are literally on the water. Wildlife in the form of sea lions, otters, and even a humpback whale were seen right out front. More than well equipped kitchen with items such as seasonings and misc. items on the shelves that will simplify your grocery run. Owners are really nice. Great setup for 2 couples or a family with a couple of children. My crew is already asking me to set things up for next year! Highly recommend.

We were so happy with everything about Ravens Roost. So clean and perfectly located. Katy was very accomadating in checking us in a little earlier than expected. Scenery was awesome. The beds.....super comfortable! Drive up the Mountain thats just down the street for a great picnic at the top. Not one complaint. Everything was great!! Majestic Views
Beautiful cabin inside and out. Our first visit to Sitka and Ravens Roost was a perfect place to stay. Katy and Jack are friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you! The cabin was very clean and well appointed. Loved all the cozy blankets. We loved everything about the cabin from the big windows, overhead heater fan in first floor bathroom(big one for me personally), to the balconies. Had a lot of fun exploring around the rocks during low tide. Had an otter come visit us while sitting by the fire pit. Left a basketball in the closet so future guests can take advantage of the basketball court in town. Make sure you visit Thimbleberry Lake(great place for eagle bathing/sunbathing) and the extra mile to Heart Lake(trailhead on Sawmill Creek Rd.). Overall our experience was positive in all ways staying at Ravens Roost! Thank you Katy and Jack!!!

Absolutely a fabulous location! The view, wow! Very clean, comfy linens on the bed with plenty of pillows. Kitchen was great, had everything we needed to cook meals. Perfect Sitka location
We hate to leave this beautiful little house on the water. The location can’t be beat, nor can abuse. We enjoyed the fire pit, sitting on the deck and watching the water, and the mini Eagles and see why that came to visit along the way. The bedding is very comfortable, everything you need can be found in the kitchen, and the owners were very responsive to any question we had. We will come back to Sitka and we will stay here.

We enjoyed our time at Katy’s home with our family. The views are phenomenal, and we had all the amenities we needed, and Katy had firewood available for us to enjoy at their fire pit on the beach. The tide pools in front if the house are teeming with marine life.

Mesmerizing Sunsets in Beautiful Sitka
Our third time to stay in this wonderful home. This mid century jewel sits in a perfect location on Halibut Point Road. The views are incredible. We spent most evenings after dinner sitting around the fire pit enjoying fabulous sunset views. We will be back soon.

A perfect getaway!
Raven's Roost is the perfect spot for an alaskan getaway. The beauty of this location is incredible, directly on the ocean with incredible views from every room. The cabin was impeccably clean and had everything we needed to feel right at home. The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are perfect for 2 couples or a family. The steps leading up to the second bedroom are a little bit steep but caused us no problems. The owners allowed us an early check-in which was much appreciated. We stayed 5 nights and cooked halibut 3 of those nights in the well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed dinners out at the Channel Club located right across the street and The Beak Restaurant in town. Both dinners were delicious and we highly recommend checking out both of them when visiting. We did not rent a car so used the local taxis and met "Hank" from Baranof Taxi. He was fantastic and always available for us when we called. We highly recommend staying at Raven's Roost when visiting Sitka. The location is perfection!

Perfect Peaceful Cabin
This VRBO exceeded my every expectation! The house was perfect for 2 couples, very comfortable and clean. The views off the balcony are amazing, I wish we would have had one more day just to sit out on the deck and soak it all in! Great location to everything you want to see and do! Perfect cabin in a remarkably beautiful setting
I lived in Sitka for several years, so I already knew how beautiful it is. But even I had my breath taken away by the views from virtually every room in the Raven's Roost. And it didn't matter what the weather was doing - it was always fascinating to watch the varying moods of the sky and water. Foggy, drizzly mornings and brilliant sunny days; glorious evenings with the sun setting behind Mt. Edgecumbe, and then tracing the full moon rising and reflecting off the water. No words can do it justice. The weather was mostly drizzly and occasionally windy (which we knew to expect in September). But inclement weather will not stop Sitkans from getting outdoors, and it didn't stop us either. After spending the day fishing, kayaking or hiking, this was the perfect place to come "home" to. Drop your gear, kick off your boots and hang your wet outer-clothes in the entry vestibule. Then pour a glass from your complimentary bottle of wine, or fix a cup of coffee or hot cocoa (host-provided), and settle onto the couch with one of several available throws - feeling snug and warm, while watching and listening to the waves against the rocks and shoreline. We saw sea otters, sea lions and seals, as well as bald eagles, gulls, cormorants and, of course, ravens. Fun, too, was watching fishing and crabbing boats heading out or coming back in - especially at night with all their lights. The cabin was very clean and comfortably furnished. We chose the downstairs bedroom with attached bathroom and shower. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, a plush blanket and comforter. We would open the sliding glass door a crack and let in the cold clean air - that, along with the sound of the waves, was conducive to very good sleep. The kitchen was well-equipped, including high quality pots and pans and a variety of spices, making it easy to eat in. Having a washer/dryer was such a convenience! And we very much appreciated the use of the kayak and fishing gear, which enabled us to catch juvenile black cod and rockfish for marvelous dinners at home. Check-in was contact-free and easy. Katy and Jack were very responsive whenever we had questions, both before and during our visit. The lovely upstairs bedroom has a bathtub with shower, and its own deck . A word of caution if you have young children or elderly in your group - the stairs leading up to the second bedroom are very steep. The steps are quite high and shallow, so they can be challenging.
